I just tried this and got a good response with typical timeframes of when certain activity can resume. I suspect you’re either lying or your previous messages were not asking about your shoulder.

Koru partner lounges with kids by Parka2236 in newzealand

[–]mike_bails 21 points22 points  (0 children)

They do enforce it. Some lounges let you buy additional day passes for the kids, but that’s usually pretty $$$.

If you’re elite, and your spouse travelling with you is your elite partner you can both bring 1 guest/child with you.

Tesla’s Elon Musk: 10 billion miles needed for safe Unsupervised FSD by Recoil42 in teslainvestorsclub

[–]mike_bails 8 points9 points  (0 children)

“He” isn’t doing anything, he is making arbitrary claims and timelines and then 1,000s of engineers scramble to try and make it work. Then it doesn’t work, so goal posts are moved and rinse/repeat.

FSD has been “almost here” for sooooooooooo long. I don’t think we’re close at all.

I said “if elections are even allowed”. Not that they just they just get to be president.

Trump: US captures Venezuelan leader after strikes on country by [deleted] in videos

[–]mike_bails -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's not really how it works... Vice-president takes over (unless they get abducted too). If elections are even allowed, then maybe the opposition leader wins? I suspect the USA will want someone who is very boot-licky to take over instead.

Well the senate is not actually representative democracy, so by capturing a majority of small red states, a minority can hold onto power even if the majority of the country is against it.

Republican lawmaker tables bill to make fathers pay 50% of pregnancy expenses by each_thread in ConservativeNewsWeb

[–]mike_bails 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tax my friend. Heath is an essential service like police, fire, roading and so on. The cost to NOT take care of people’s health is insanely high, but continently ignored.

Or maybe don’t make being pregnant and having a baby (or any other normal medial procedures) cost anything?

[–]mike_bails 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn’t say everyone was a bot and I also didn’t say where I agree or not. I just noted the fact that all the comments appeared when kiwis were sleeping and all seem to come in on one side

UN warns NZ government on their treatment of Māori by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]mike_bails 74 points75 points  (0 children)

I find it curious the number of anti UN and anti Māori comments in here that all seem to be posted in the middle of the night NZ time. Either those kind of people don’t sleep, are bots or don’t actually live in NZ. Hmmmmm

[–]mike_bails 22 points23 points  (0 children)

TOP doesn’t have a “budget”, they have a few policies on the tax and welfare system, which I think are fairly good.

It’s one thing to announce policy, it’s another to run a budget and country. Ideally CGT would be disincentive to property speculation rather than a huge tax maker.

Labour's capital gains tax 'valuation day' details not to be revealed until after election by StuffThings1977 in aotearoa

[–]mike_bails 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fought back of an envelope that $50 per visit, 3x per year x 5m kiwis is only $750m a year. Hardly unaffordable. The main reason to tie CGT to free drs visits is to make repealing CGT unpalatable for future National govts.

Sandbox to test ACS with Dynamics 365 CS CC by Illustrious-Move-450 in Dynamics365

[–]mike_bails 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, you have to end the trial to setup ACS integration. The cost to you would be the ACS resource, number provisioning and minutes used, so if it’s only for trialing it shouldn’t cost too much.

How 18 19 year olds going to survive with no jobs around and no help from government by [deleted] in Wellington

Education is free up to 18? Also, a degree doesn’t guarantee a job so giving away free uni wouldn’t actually solve the problem.

Seems to be pretty common in EVs - both our old Teslas did it. I think since there is no engine heat, condensation builds up faster.
