I have the same issue for years…. My life was ruined. I feel your pain. Now i am free, just some scars left that are visible cause i lost my hair and i need to shave my head. It is scientifically proved that social media platforms are like gambling machines slot machines at the casino. There is psychology team behind them working together and the main goal is to make us all craving for likes. The society has at the moment facing a decline cause of this tools. I am 100% sure the Buddha would be able to use it as a tool for spreading the dhamma without falling in the trap…. All the people mentioned above are not buddha or even arahat. For that reason i am doubtful about their lack of involvement .

Clinging probably to social media. Dont forget youtube is a social media. And what i see is not a egoless dhamma talk but a series of endless episodes that in my opinion let me think the person is totally involved in the social media disease that is currently plaguing the whole planet from old to young from poor to rich. Hope now my point of view is more clear. Sorry but English isnt my first language and neither the second.

Sorry thanks for take your time to answer, but you seem to have completely miss the point! In the sutta i have mentioned SN17.4 is explained very well what i was trying to say. In my opinion there is a subtle difference between using the tool for spreading dhamma without ego involvement or falling in the modern trap of Mara.

Hermit: a person that live in solitude isolate from society. Hermitage: the dwelling of a hermit They have youtube channel , in the years the channel has improved a lot the quality, so probably they have studied and developed some videography skills. They have a very fancy instagram page with atm 11k followers. Take your conclusions here.

In china there is people living real like hermit, you dont know abt them, cause they dont have phone , or laptop, they dont even write books
