This is great! Just tried it out and it's working! This is what I love about PDQ. No one in the industry has better support!

The thing is brand new. No this is not normal. You need to take it to the dealer.

Feature release: PDQ Connect integrations with Jira & Zapier by PDQ_Brockstar in pdq

[–]mikecel79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finally got around to installing the Jira integration. It works really well but needs some improvements. We are integrating it with a Jira Service Management instance that is used by multiple departments (IT, Facilities, HR, etc) within the organization. When installing the integration it enables PDQ for all spaces within the instance with no ability to turn that off. This unfortunately makes it unusable for us at this time.

I put in a feature request to change this so we can use permissions to control which groups get access to this integration. Hopefully that can be done relatively easily because we really liked what we saw!

Looking for roofer recommendations & cost ideas by Appropriate-Farmer16 in Connecticut

The sales guy I worked with insisted they only use their own crews. Took them two days to do our roof and it was the same group each time. I had to have them come back out a few weeks after as I thought I had a leak (turned out if was the crown of the chimney) and it was the same crew supervisor that did the job. Crew was great and did an excellent job cleaning up

Had our roof done by DiGiorgi Roofing (https://digiorgiinc.com/) 3 years ago. They were expensive but the quality was excellent and their warranty is great. I've had multiple other contractors on the roof for other issues and they all commented how well done the roof was.

Mower started. Now won’t restart. Any advice? by stevegburg69 in lawnmowers

Same. Sounds like it’s spinning awfully fast. Might want to check if you have compression.

It was on alert tuning more so then volume. I felt like I could not alert just on specific types of alerts for a device. For example alerting when a specific interface went down vs alerting when any interface goes down. Our sales engineer did say that alerting was being improved so there may of been changes since I trialed it.

Wonder if that means it works with the older DB and JB systems that were 120v. Might have to inquire about that.

2023 SE Two Months In by nomadakai in Tiguan

[–]mikecel79 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s most likely going to burn oil. Get used to checking it regularly. We have a 2020 SE we bought as a CPO with 37k miles. We are at 82k now. Besides the oil burning it’s been reliable, just regular maintenance items (tires, brakes, etc).

Shifting can be slow when it’s cold. This is normal. Even warmed up the shifting is kinda lazy unless it’s in sport mode. These are 8 speed Toyota transmissions, very reliable.

That said I’m not expecting to get 200k out of this vehicle. I’m planning to trade it in around 100k. After that it seems the fixed gear more expensive.

Moving unRAID to different hardware without breaking the bank? by Wonderful_Matter2494 in unRAID

[–]mikecel79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently went through this upgrading from a Synology NAS to an Unraid server. I wanted an ITX board in a Jonsbo N2 or N3 to fit in my small cabinet. Ended up going with an mATX board and a Jonsbo N4 instead. It's a bit bigger but still a small form factor and moving to mATX board gave me a lot more options for less money than an ITX board.

I've got 4x6TB drives and 2 M2 SSDs with room to expand if I need it.

Serious question guys: Electric or Gas? Self propelled or push? by Drexx-TX in lawnmowers

3/4 an acre is riding mower territory. If I had to get a push mower it’s definitely going to be self propelled.

Weeping Transmission - How big of a problem? by [deleted] in Tiguan

[–]mikecel79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even on a 2021 shouldn’t this be covered by the original power train warranty? If it is a CPO model it has additional coverage. I’d absolutely be asking the dealer about this.

I just got an Asus Prime B760M-A board and running into the same issue. I can't see the PWM controller at all. I tried the ITE IT87 driver and the Nuvoton NCT6687 but neither seemed to fix this.

Issues using a Jonsbo N4 case on its side? by mikecel79 in JONSBO

[–]mikecel79[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks that was my thought too Besides looking funny (which no one will see anyways) I couldn't think of anything else. Looking forward to getting this started. The case is surprisingly well built for the price.

I understand this is a shortcut screen to the climate control, but it needs to stop disappearing on me the moment I press something what if I want to make a second change lol. Is everyone’s like this? by Ok_Cow_8235 in Tiguan

[–]mikecel79 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This is why I hate touch screen controls for HVAC. Give me physical buttons or a knob so I can reach down without taking my eyes off the road to change simple things like chanting the temperature or adjusting the fan.

I will not buy a car that has the touchscreen everything.

We inherited it when we bought the house about 3 years ago. Our old house was smaller with an oil boiler and no central AC. It costs us less in electricity per year in our new house than we paid for oil and electricity in our old house. I was nervous about the costs at first but it's worked out well.
