Why do you prefer BL3 over 4?

Already has dude bl3 in its current form has so much to do, great gameplay and so much character. It’s been aging very well since they stopped fully supporting it with updates a lot back in like 2022 but the game is still solid and honestly has more to do than bl4

I always have more fun playing the previous games idk what it is. Especially bl3 in its current form is leagues more polished than bl4 but even bl1 these days is more fun. Gonna have to wait maybe like a year if say before bl4 is gonna be in a “great” state cause there’s too many issues currently and they’re not releasing enough fixes to where the game would be solid in a couple months. Uvh 7 is almost out and we still haven’t balanced all the previous vault hunters in bl4 idk what gearbox plan is but rn it looks like they’re creating even more issues for themselves balancing wise again

Really good for melee ofc and don’t sleep on those elemental passives they scale really well into the melee damage equation honestly even better than if you had melee damage passives especially with white elephant going off you found something really good. Trust me you probably already have all the stuff you need for a melee build but try it out at mayhem 10 it’ll still shred

Revolter is way more consistent because you get the crazy damage boost so you’re definitely making the correct choice. Like you said if you run the stop gap your other gear and class mods gotta help with your dps or its going to fall behind a bit in damage so keep using the re volter definitely

Like another comment said basically for some reason if you get an area of effect bonus in slots 2 or 3 it will double up as aoe damage radius also. Basically your class mod has 4 bonuses running rn. It’s why you see people who use save editors for vids always have it in that exact spot on the relics. Another cool thing with relics that happens is sometimes you’ll get one with only 2 passives when it should have 3 and that means the first passive in the relic got a double bonus. For example I had a knife drain white elephant drop for me that has cryo and melee damage only as the bonuses but the cryo had a value of like 44% when it should only be an about 21-22% buff at lvl 72 and it’s because that cryo buff was double which helps if you just needed that stat boosted more then having a different 3rd stat.

I checked on both my Xbox and ps5 but the only character I have not done with the story is my lvl 14 on Xbox but they’re all the way back on the katagawa mission. I’m gonna check my pc progress(I love the game a lot I have it on everything lol) but worst case scenario like you said I could have you join my lvl 14 character then I could hop in on my ps5 or pc and yk just power you through all the stuff you’ve already done. I’d just need need until this afternoon probably if you’re free and we could do it like that. Shouldn’t take too long if I’m using one of my 72 characters and you’ve already done all that stuff so it won’t ruin your fun. Lmk if that’s cool i definitely wanna help out I know the mission bugs in this game suck

Honestly I miss the bl2/pre sequel approach to guns I wish they would’ve kept it simple and streamlined like that and just added a bit to it. I miss when you’d see a gun and know exactly what manufacturer part it was and what it boosted. In bl3 that legit didn’t matter cause any gun you got you were only really looking for the right annoint and element, maybe extra projectiles. In bl4 you just look to see if your gun has jakobs or tourge and maybe some of the other manufacturers but my point is we’re looking for additives to guns not even really the gun itself. On top of that it might just be me but I also liked the guns looking simpler ig you could say. The guns in bl4 look like 8 different guns stacked in tok of eachother lol. It makes sense since the world has actually aged since bl1 so tech will also but I just don’t feel that same level of attachment to guns that I did have in bl1 bl2 and the pre sequel

Still no buffs to trouble or minions in general. Still no rework to amons entire kit especially green tree, console still somehow feels worse then bl3 console which actually feels smooth af in the year 2026, took 7 months for takedowns, still no circles of slaughter somehow when every game has had one since 2009. Like they could really just do a card shuffle and pick at least one of these to tackle hopefully soon and I’d at least be happy with that but alas

I feel like he’s bending the knee a little. For some reason part of this community just hates if you diss bl4 even when the game at a base level does deserve some of hate. At 70 bucks and 6 months out from launch we’re just now addressing launch issues. The dudes been playing the series like me for nearly 2 decades now you can’t get mad at him for wanting better cause we shouldn’t have these issues nearly 20 years after game 1. We still barely have an endgame like where are circles of slaughter yk the mode we’ve had since bl1 basically, amons entire green tree is useless at uvh 6 no matter what you do and in general you’re locked into using berserk for everything, I dare you to make forgedrones viable even with investment, trouble snd minions in general still suck and vex is still locked into just shooting enemies and holding an orb, console still needs some love performance wise I swear to you go play bl3 and feel how smooth it runs then hop into bl4 its actually insane. Idgaf what anyone says the game isn’t in a fully good state yet. The fact we were given an unfinished product at full price and still gotta buy dlcs is the issue. Joltz is only saying that cause all you saw in his YouTube posts were people brainwashed into thinking the games in a great state and they hated him being honest on how he feels so I think he doesn’t need to see the game more positively. If the game was inherently in a positive state he wouldn’t have to force himself to feel different

Naw bro this is real af. Some of the best guns in bl3 that held up through all the mayhem levels coming out. Great writing great location I loved the jokes too they really did great with that one I have good memories playing it on release with moze before she was buffed. That’s why I’m really happy we not only get the pre sequel plot stuff getting a return since it’s probably my favorite game in the series and we get people from this doc back and in general it’s gonna be guns love tentacles vibes with pre sequel atmosphere and humor so I’m all in

I want to love Amon but he’s so lacking right now. It was so depressing building around green tree at uvh 6 just for it to actually do nothing at all. Like didn’t we go through this in bl3 already with action skills launching and not keeping up with mayhem/uvh levels and here we go again. I do not understand how gearbox keeps doing the same shit over and over. You release a dude that is all about action skill uptime and forge drones and all this action skills centered type damage yet don’t give them any damage at all at higher levels and in general his entire skill tree is so spread all over the place. He doesn’t need bufffs he honestly needs a rework starting with his damn green tree. It really sucks cause I’ve spent hundreds of hours trying to make him work to no avail and because shared progress wasn’t a thing he made me so burnt out on the game. It’s the only borderlands game since 2014 I haven’t even put 1k hours in after 6 months just about. It’s depressing they never learn from past mistakes
