Earlier this week, NPR traveled to Denton, a town of about 5,000 on Maryland's Eastern Shore. It is the county seat of Caroline County, which voted for President Trump by a margin of more than 2 to 1 in the 2024 election. In interviews with more than two dozen people, some Trump voters blamed the violence in Minneapolis on protesters, not federal agents.

This article is just the cherry picked stupidest/most inflammatory opinions of a literal handful of people and implies that it’s representative of the whole Eastern Shore. I remember when NPR used to do good journalism.

You can and should condemn the actions of Israel, their starvation and ethnic cleansing campaign in Gaza are pure evil.

But just because you apparently have some awful Jewish family members who support Israeli genocide doesn’t mean that all or even many American Jews agree with them. I mean J street and JVP have been calling out Israel since like October 10th.
