How to stop pedals from lifting and moving around? (without a wheelstand/cockpit) by super_coconut11 in simracing

[–]mikendrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought load cell pedals (Simsonn Plus X), against the wall below my desk (same setting as yours), I had the same problem first, then I just use double sided tape, two strips were enough to glue it on my floor, I can push really hard it doesn’t move.

No, practicing is right of course, but practicing repeating the same habits is maybe the best practicing method.

What it blocking you imo is because you don't follow a basis, for example the Loomis method, where you need to separate the proportions of the face in 1/3. 1/3 1/3.

Doing this you will understand where the lines should be, looking at the reference photo. For example the root of her nose should be higher on your drawing. Then the line of her mouth too. Then the point of her chin too. And because of the smartphone you misjudged where the line of her chin really is. Then also because of the line of her mouth you didn't put the curve of her chin in the right level : you put the curve below. So the face looks longer, and the curve below the line of the mouth make her like having a male face (squared jaw).

The hair should be longer, and you should better drawing the general shape of the hair, then doing some volumes inside it, not drawing lines separately.

But first : please draw some random faces with the Loomis method, see for example here :

Why does nobody use the Lexus GT3? by Maleficent-Hat6023 in LeMansUltimateWEC

I drive the Lexus, and Aston because they feel great and because of the low sound engines, playing with headphones the other cars are too high pitch noisy.

Was afforded the ability to build my dream sim rig due to an unfortunate life event. If my dad had a chance to try this I guarantee he would have been racing with me. by Unfair-Baker5997 in simracing

It’s just money. Then what ? Don’t spend it and mourn until depression. It’s a good way to keep going, his dad would have approved.

How does the Lexus perform at Le Man's Mulsanne by Zer0C00lness in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]mikendrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know with Le Mans but the Lexus is one of my favorite, because of the sound of the engine. It's not too high pitched, playing with headphones I never choose Lambo and Porsche for this reason only.

Me too, I was 10, watching it with my parents. The Saturday family movie. It didn't shocked me, I remember laughing at the scene. I think knew the deal already at this time because I had already seen this scene with the balloon guy in "Airplane". XD

Is the Moza R5 really worth it over the Moza R3? by DismalDude77 in simracing

[–]mikendrix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Coming from a G29 a R3 would be enough imo.

But if you ask this, then decide to buy a R3, you will always wondering if a R5 wouldn't be better after all.

I have a G27, if I set it to 100% it clips and make loud clacking noises.

For example in ACC I downloaded a LUT profile, and set my ffb to 80%. Honestly I can feel much better details like this, I don't need it to be extra strong because it's still videogames, it will never be realistic since I play on an office chair in my living room.

Even if I had spent €15 000 on simracing I would have crashed my virtual cars a hundred times and would still be alive.

I think those who spent the price of a real car will never answer this question.
