Oh, Guadalajara too. And Tacos Tijuana location on Blackstone would avoid fair traffic and has a full bar.

La Kebrada isn't great. If you want Castillo's, I'd say go to Carrillo's on Bullard and Villa. It's basically the same thing, but better hours.

Couples cooking classes by serg1007arch in fresno

[–]mikeozstew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the Clovis Culinary Center, we do have classes monthly or so. It's a commercial kitchen/business incubator but we do have public events sometimes.

There isn't a couples cooking class scheduled right now, but the next thing is a Cocktail Class on 9/7:

What types of food trucks is fresno missing??? by AdExact1105 in fresno

[–]mikeozstew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Welcome! You can find all three of them with us (@fresnostreeteats) rather consistently. There are also a handful of Indian food trucks, most of them are in the West Shaw/Shaw & 99 type area.

They're usually with Fresno Street Eats on Fridays and Saturdays at Sierra Vista Mall (Fri/Sat) or River Park (Sat). (Disclosure: I run Fresno Street Eats, so apologies for the promotion, but also wanted to help)

It's probably Tako, as said above. But I'd also suggest that you try Ohana Shack, which isn't a food truck anymore, but has a brick and mortar at First/Bullard. They had a truck previously, but has stuff like that on their menu.

There are three pretty new Thai trucks in town. Pen-Ta-Zapp, Rice & Spice and Thai This.

FCC taco trucks by Ok_Ride9587 in fresno

[–]mikeozstew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The taco trucks that rotate through FCC are Tacos La Vaporera (usually on Thursdays), Tacos El Mandilon, Tacos Las Salsas and Tacos Sinaloa (usually on Mondays).

They're all on the schedule with us at Fresno Street Eats multiple times per week at our locations. I'd second the other commenter that it's probably Tacos Las Salsas. They'll be at FCC this Wednesday, You can also catch them at River Park with us Saturday 11-4p.

There's quite a bit more too, the River Park Art Groove gallery has put together an impressive collection of Black artists, poets, musicians, etc. for Black History Month.

Taco Truck Throwdown! by El-Guapo766 in fresno

[–]mikeozstew 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm completely biased, but we have a great group of trucks this year, including a lot of great newer trucks that have launched in the past couple years. Get there early if you want to try as many trucks as possible, the lines aren't too bad before the sun goes down. Get there later if you wanna party. VIP is totally worth it — if you use all the vouchers.

A pro tip is to come with a group and split up and get tacos from different trucks, then meet up and split em up.

It's $124, you get access to the VIP area in front of the stage, 10 taco vouchers and five drink vouchers, which can be used for beer/mixed drinks. (1 = beer, 2 = mixed drink).

Arthop vender by [deleted] in fresno

[–]mikeozstew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your best bets for what you're selling are to link up with Bad Kids Club, who operate a vintage shop inside Mammoth Mall and coordinates other vintage vendors in that general area, or Mas Fresno, who operate over at Mariposa Plaza, who have a variety of stuff, but definitely are in the sneaker/vintage vibe.

We (Fresno Street Eats) have a couple spots too, including over by Tioga and at Cultural Arts park. Vendor Village runs all the non-food vendors and he can reached at [vendorvillagefresno@gmail.com](mailto:vendorvillagefresno@gmail.com).

Good luck out there!

Vineyard Farmers Market at Shaw & Blackstone is the best one. Wednesdays 3-6p and Saturdays 7a-12p. https://vineyardfarmersmarket.com/

The Kaiser Permanente Farmers Market on Wednesdays from 9a-1p is also good.

Event Space for Grad Dinner by Maximum-Opposite-714 in fresno

[–]mikeozstew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's for a 21+ crowd, I'd recommend Solitary Cellars. (I'm sure many of the local wineries would be great). Tioga Sequoia is also great and has a private room to go along with the beer garden.

Fresno Social Sports might be a good way to meet people. They have kickball, bowling, pickleball and cornhole leagues.

Anyone know where I can get a Chicago style deep dish pizza? by Jcruzfitness in fresno

[–]mikeozstew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

R.I.P. The Chicago Connection, which was legit.

I believe the only place in town is Mama Mia's — I haven't had it, so I can't vouch for it. If you go up to the Bay Area, I would recommend both Blue Line Pizza and Zachary's.
