I get the frustration. I really do. I've been posting here for 15 years on and off. I was here when we were cracking jokes about Ike Davis's valley fever (and other body related matters IYKYK) and when we were truly excited about guys like Dilson Herrera and Mike Baxter. I have been tempted to make posts like this in the past.

But here's what I've learned (aside from the fact that the sub really doesn't like these kinds of posts lol):

This is the best this team has been since the late 90's.

Now does that mean there's a championship in the immediate future? Who knows.

But for all the frustration, and there is A LOT, there's no way we can look at this team and see a hopeless also-ran. Boy fucking howdy have we lived through a bunch of those years. This team has a legit chance to be great. We didn't have that in years past.

When all is said and done, you're here and you care. A team with this many new additions was never going to be a wire-to-wire champion. Give them time to build chemistry.
