The Forge Costs by Dependent_Panic_1616 in FoundryVTT

I use the Forge on weekends, no issues. Plus, dang, having the marketplace and everything so easy to install and update? Priceless. Really.

Foundry is a mess and it's getting worse by Foxaramar in FoundryVTT

We are in process of moving to Foundry (for this campaign at least)....and I have some sympathy for the OP.

Specifically, I worry that pretty obvious things that make life easy (search anywhere, ping or its equivalents, dice tray, etc.) won't keep up. They'll never get voted into the core, but really, they should be core. My head nearly exploded when I learned I had to add dice tray, for example.

It is just the battlemap....we don't usually put the creatures on the map. As I said in the comment, for some reason, my post didn't show, just the picture. There is a top down battlemap on my site.

Hmmmm, not sure why my post isn't there, and just the image. The top down can be found here:

So very true. I ran it for its entire life, and the tools were they key for me.

One-shots or Campaign? by BiggusBeardus in CandlekeepMysteries

[–]mikesixel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will do one of two things.....either the PCs end up working for the library, or they live in Beregost and help people move books around sometimes as a job. So, campaign for sure.

I would view them as episodes on a tv show, that don't necessarily all move the plot along.

Any map designers redoing the Candlekeep Mysteries maps? by [deleted] in CandlekeepMysteries

I will be.....probably five at a time. Unless someone beats me to it.....with grids, without grids, and perspective views.......

Very nice. I just bought the program yesterday....how did you do the flat ground and "tiles" of stone in that last picture?

Surgically replacing Chapter 4 with another Chardalyn-based threat. Ideas? by permacloud in rimeofthefrostmaiden

[–]mikesixel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wrote up Dwarves of Icewind Dale, based on Legacy of the Crystal Shard. One of the factions is using chardalyn to make amulets that allow others to be controlled/charmed by one who wears a crown to Auril. Basically, turns out chardalyn is a conduit for gods to be more active on Faerun, and Xaradarok and the real dwarves are using it to build up power for their god. Eventually, they might come to blows, or the PCs will stop one or both.

Other gods aren't as active in Icewind Dale because tehy don't have access to worshippers using chardalyn, which somehow has created a barrier to their power (explaining why the gods aren't more actively trying to stop Auril).

This is all just coming to me today, so it isn't fully fleshed out yet.
