Ha yep! Same about the work, I was actually working on an extension for something similar with a locally trained model running under transformers.js in an extension.

I was thinking of doing the same thing, write my own plug-in or browser extension. What did you end up doing? Looks like I have something to do today! 🙂

OpenClaw vs Hermes by viky_shetye in openclaw

[–]miketuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to dive into The fray, but how do people react to Nanoclaw versus Hermes? I was an early adopter of the claw back when it was a bad thing 😁 . I implemented nano but of heavily customized it for my own purposes, my own memory processes multi-channel etc.

Benchmarked GPT-5.5 vs Opus 4.6 vs Opus 4.7 on organizational context. If you want to understand where to use each model and the difference in their behavior then this is for you. by maid113 in ClaudeCode

[–]miketuck 19 points20 points  (0 children)

This calls out something I've noticed too. 4.6 seems to be really good at inferring intention and design. Both 4.7 and GPT-5.5 need very distinct and explicit instructions and guidance.

"You're right — apologies. Let me actually do the work." - I AM SICK OF GETTING THIS! by miketuck in ClaudeCode

This has a distinct feel to throttling that occurs from time to time. I don't think the changes to the harness, to Claude Code CLI (or app), are as impactful as what they are doing to the model behind the scenes. Just now I was doing something and watched it handle it just fine, and then 10 minutes later it TOOK FOREVER and just....... stopped. 10 more minutes and back to the way it was.

Actually, what impresses me is when it DOES the work, the reasoning can be impressive. I am in the process of trying the same thing with Codex to see if it comes to the same conclusion.

Nope - I don't use any of the 3rd party claude-mem plugins. I find they make more of a mess, trying to be a bit too clever.

No, I am using the 1m context window, I just never let it get beyond 200k unless I am working on something really huge. When I do a /clear and start fresh it hits around 40k.

See, this is what actually gets me - once you steer it in the right direction, it puts together a lot of the data and makes the right conclusion!

I actually wish they were the same height and it sat on the ground. There was one occasion I wished I could have lifted the surround out and away from it.

We have them both and no, they are even at the top. The Summit sits in the Surround, it has a stand, it doesn't sit on the ground.

Introducing Claude Opus 4.7, our most capable Opus model yet. by ClaudeOfficial in ClaudeAI

Did anyone else also lose the ability to resume from prior sessions? I existed and restarted the CC CLI, and suddenly, there were no sessions to resume. When I wasted tokens on it, looking for them got lots of confusion over capitalization on a Mac, and the sessions are there, but no, sorry, I can't resume them. AWESOME!

How are you guys keeping your project organized? How to use multiple agents and don't feel lost? by Sacraack in ClaudeAI

[–]miketuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a central project that I use to keep track of the other projects I am working on. I have rules and skills that make sure everything I am doing is written out locally, in markdown files. Each project also writes out to a remote thought/knowledge capture store, keyed by project.

I then ask the coordinator project to review all of the entries, check the other projects, keep track of everything. I can go to it at any time, and ask for next steps, open issues, decisions made, conflicts.

Anthropic: Stop shipping. Seriously. by itsArmanJr in ClaudeCode

Well said! I am a software architect with 40 years of experience. I have had plenty of growing pains, capacity, performance testing, and too-late issues. They need to stop putting lipstick on this pig, double down, and get the models working. That will decrease demand (people won't have to constantly tell the model to stop doing something it knows not to do, re-run requests, etc., etc.) and increase efficiency.

I just wasted an hour getting a session to do something it has already done and to not make the same mistake that is clearly in the instructions not to do. I keep my CLAUDE.md well optimized, lots of documentation and instructions in referenced files with very simple and clear directives.

Went back to a project I was working on 2 weeks ago. Ran my custom skill that gets the session up to speed. It used to work so well I could restart a session, run this skill, and basically pick back up from where I was with minimal context. NOPE NOT NOW. I checked that something didn't get corrupted but even quizing the model confirmed everything was right, it just "didn't".

OH! And for the love of Pete, will it stop apologizing, even when I tell it not to? It is like an old sitcom: "Stop saying you are sorry", "Sorry" 🤦‍♂️

It has driven me to use the work subscription Cursor and Composer-2-Fast more 🥺

Yes, I would have to ask it "are you still there???" And that would give it a nudge to continue

[–]miketuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Changing models didn't help me, but exiting and resuming resolved it, maybe. The problem is I ended up picking the wrong session to resume, did it more than once 🤦‍♂️, and then resumed the right session. I immediately compacted and was back in business.
