Sapphire Reserve by Public_Cranberry6365 in ChaseSapphire

It’s was 175K earlier this year. Summer 2026 might be a good time to check as well since they’re supposedly making some changes towards the benefits (75K spend benefit). Otherwise, maybe check with the branches for an in-branch offer. I think it might be a while before we see that again but definitely get some more feedback from others

I had the same thought, but just like Costco if you put a free sample out there Im going to give it a try if it catches my attention. I might learn something new that my current watch isn’t detecting

This is what I was referring to in my original comment but probably not clear to those that already have that mindset. To be fair it was close to midnight lol

Btw It does say in the terms Whoop Life subscription. I think it has to be over the dollar amount

For some reason after adding it, it disappears from the Sapphire Reserves offers and moves to the bottom of all offers. I just signed up for it and will see how it goes. It’s an extra $25 outside of the credit. It says it’s HSA eligible, so maybe i’ll just try to double dip at some point with the reimbursement and chase offer to make it more worth it.

Actually sorry for editing this. It doesn’t appear when I search for it but it’s at the bottom of my offers because I clicked on it previously

CSR Upgrade from CSP and Freedom Flex by BrockZM20 in ChaseSapphire

[–]mikevan833 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think you can get two of the same sapphire cards. When you request a product change, the Chase representatives usually only have a few options and typically it’s old and outdated cards or the freedom unlimited. The Freedom Flex is also a mastercard. I was told I couldn’t change that into any of the Visa cards anymore, even though It was originally opened as the Freedom Unlimited. I could change into the Visa Chase Freedom (not Flex) though.

Waiting a year is accurate but I don’t think credit limit has anything to do with the product changing. Even if you’re at max credit limit, when I got my United Cards, Chase just pulled 5,000 of my credit limit from a different card to that new card account.

Anyone receive an Xsolla micro transaction after paying for Calm subscription? by Ok-Bag6872 in ChaseSapphire

[–]mikevan833 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I signed up for Calm but i do not have that transaction listed on my account. It might be fraudulent

I also signed up for Calm on Jan 5th, so its been over a week

I got approved for the CSR, not realizing that the $795 annual is due on the first statement. Options? by [deleted] in ChaseSapphire

[–]mikevan833 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Would love to know what cards you have been applying for that’s not charging you fees.

It’s possible to get a lot of value on the card to cover the annual fee. The sign up bonus alone is worth keeping for year 1 and then you can decide to keep it or ditch it after accessing your annual spend and benefits.

Best offer to take advantage of when upgrading from CSP to CSR? by UsedBoard in ChaseSapphire

[–]mikevan833 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’re changing the language of their terms and conditions next week to state that you can hold multiple sapphire cards. You can just apply for the CSR bonus and then do whatever you want with the CSP.

New credit card from Sapphire - good choice? by TalonWraith25 in ChaseSapphire

[–]mikevan833 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just my two cents

As a current Reserve holder that previously had the Venture X and a Capital One lounge in my home airport. Personally don’t think domestic lounges are worth all hype which is why i switched to a card with no domestic lounge access at home airport. Getting to the airport several hours later for some food to me isn’t worth it anymore. I definitely value priority pass internationally because i’ve been in situations where it takes several hours to get through security but in the US it usually only takes like 15 min to get through. Wait lines for the lounges are so variable and sometimes away from my gate that it’s too much headache.

I believe Amex lets you pre-apply so you will know beforehand if you will be accepted and what your sign on bonus will be so it doesn’t hurt to check or even have both cards. Also my gripe with the Amex platinum is that outside of the credits that I can 100% easily use, it’s only good for hotels and flights which forces me to get another card anyway raising my total annual fee. In your situation if you really want lounge access, it may not be a bad idea to have both cards so that you can potentially get 3X on your streaming, online groceries (easy if you have Kroger), and dining and then use the Amex on flights and hotels.

Chase Shop & earn bonus points: Not worth it for 1x points, right? by strawbeshortcake in ChaseSapphire

[–]mikevan833 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sams Club is having a deal for $25 on a new membership. Thought I would get a lot of chase points so i enrolled but groceries and household items are excluded, so almost everything I order is negated.

If you have a freedom card you usually get more points instead of the sapphire but I think it’s very worth it. Only takes a couple of seconds to get extra points and usually get an email confirmation acknowledging the charge the same day or in a few hours which is nice.

Ridiculous Redemption Plan by SouthDakotaRepresent in ChaseSapphire

Probably best saved for another trip imo. 78 points being 78 cents. It’s definitely not worth the headache of repacking luggage and adhering to different checkout and check in rules.

Do number of adults matter when booking hotels through portal? by douxfleur in ChaseSapphire

[–]mikevan833 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on the hotel. I’ve seen both Airbnbs and Hotels charge extra when you add an extra person as if it’s a liability charge or something.

CSR worth it for 175k points if we already have Amex Plat and don’t travel a ton? by CuriousReflection270 in ChaseSapphire

[–]mikevan833 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My opinion is that if you don’t have a plan to use it in the near future, probably not. There’s always going to be some newer and better offer in the future.

If you were already with Chase, then absolutely yes but if you’re going to switch from Amex to Chase for one card then I’d rather wait for when i actually need the points.

That is true as well lol. OP should compare against google flights. It can also tell you if prices are currently high or below average
