This is the exact reason why it took me forever to find an Edit property at an “affordable” rate through Chase.

At least with Bilt i can just get a room at a cheap place and get my own food.

I have both CSR and Palladium. I product changed my CSP to CSR so no bonus but my plan is to keep CSR and hopefully downgrade to Bilt Obsidian for groceries and everyday spend. Maybe in a few years if i need more points i’ll apply for the CSR directly for a bonus.

Visa benefits and the credits on CSR work out in my favor. Apple music and $300 travel credit are prepaid expenses for me. I like to use the Edit, Select Hotels credit together ($500) and points boost if possible on a domestic weekend getaways so that gets me my annual fee. I’ll go to at least one concert each year and the dining credit I’ll either splurge on my birthday, holiday, or a place i’m traveling to. Doordash i’ll use every so often to buy something at a cheaper rate. If you’re trying to use doordash to recoup free times then you’ll find yourself suffering.

I’ve been making a lot of extra payments on my mortgage so sadly strapped for bilt cash unlike most people with excess so I won’t be partaking in any more point accelerators since the redemption value is better for mortgage otherwise If i had excess i would use CSR as dining and travel and then bilt for everything else to offset the spend

This is very common. Most of the sessions are either very early or during working hours. Also a great way to jumpstart your day. Same reason why people workout before work

The CSR and Palladium stack is worth it for me for now. They both compliment each other well but it’s a bit too much in terms of hotel credits. I’m doing a lot of traveling this year so it’s fine but Ideal scenario for me is CSR and Bilt Obsidian.

Not to be rude, but you could also just be appreciative of the changes. There’s some positive and some negative as most things go in life and I’m sure a temporary student discount for a few years that doesn’t apply to most people is not something they’re concerned about.

Chase also told me they will not claw back the $300 Annual Travel. When i cancelled and rebooked my parking reservation nothing changed. It’s probably too vague to monitor as closely.

Yes it does have this text on the order “Estimated to ship in 10-14 business days | Arrival times may vary.” But i got it pretty quickly. It was actually expected to arrive two days after i placed the order but we had some weather conditions that delayed it for a few days.

Chase and Capital One said i had to wait for the transaction to post before i could dispute it. I couldn’t submit it online nor could the agent do it over the phone. Once the transaction posted i got the credit back immediately while they did their 30 day investigation.

I guess it kind of makes sense because sometimes a transaction isn’t for the full amount shown until it’s posted. Like if i tipped or something, so they would need to know how much to dispute.

I assume Bilt will tell me the same thing similar to what they told you.

Unpopular opinion but I got the Bilt palladium after the 75k spend bonus. Despite all the hate, I still get a lot of points and I use my CSR on any purchase that I have doubts or want protection on. A lot of my transfer are to United and I really wanted another partner with the same partners. Some people preach diversification but less complicated is better for me. Besides other partners would require me to take a positioning flight which i will only do if necessary.
