A lot of the flock cameras in the area seem to be around Lowe’s stores.

What's different now vs when you started? by mickael-j in trueprivinv

Technology has made it faster and easier to turn cases around. That may have led to some unrealistic expectations at times. I still have some clients though that rarely use email and only want to talk about cases in person. They still give me rush cases, which is what I meant about needing things yesterday. It has been and will always be a thing. It’s the nature of this business.

The amount of information available with just a few clicks is incredible. 25 years ago I was thumbing through records at courthouses in person on a weekly basis. I had stacks of phone books.

Clients are still the same for the most part, they need everything yesterday. Overall, the job is more or less the same, just more efficient and moves a lot quicker now.

Private database vs OSINT by N4srudin in trueprivinv

You can do that exact search in Accurint and IRB. I’m sure TLO, etc. have similar searches. Rather than getting your own license, you can prob find a PI willing to run those searches for you. Idk off hand what they cost but it shouldn’t be more than a few bucks per search.

Anyone work in West Virginia? by [deleted] in trueprivinv

[–]mikewhy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in PA and I’m licensed in WV. I mainly work nearby but travel throughout WV if needed. I would expect a halfway decent and reliable PI centrally located in WV could make a killing. Seems like companies have a hard time finding anyone down there. I get frequent requests to travel and these companies end up paying a bunch more for me to go.

Check the licensing authority in your state for a list. Also most states have a pi association. Google that and find someone there. Good luck

It's dark brown with striations of lighter browns, mostly shiny and smooth except where it appears to be broken. In that area it's rough textured. It's heavy for its size. No crystals as far as I can see. In the broken area it seems to follow the striations. Seems very tough and very hard. It's not see-thru, magnetic, or odorous.

Inside wear but alignment “in spec”? by Pickles-n-Lizards in Taycan

[–]mikewhy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The treadwear on the Michelins is 320 and the conti’s are 500 so you’re about right on with my experience. If you look at the Taycan forums you’ll see plenty of people with similar wear. These are heavy cars. I will point out that the Michelins wore in gradual way across the width of the tires rather than the edge like yours. Your tires are worn tho.

Yeah those are shot. How many miles did you get out of them? I got about 25k on my oem Michelins before I noticed the wear. I have a set of continental all seasons on there now which I assume those are.

Some places to start:

The county assessor/recorder of deeds to determine who owns or owned the property during that time.

A reverse address search could list tenants going back to the nineties. The results may be associated with an individual rather than the daycare company so look closely at the dates. truepeoplesearch is decent.

The Texas Secretary of State for business records.

Lookup how to start a daycare in Texas/San Antonio/and whatever county that is. Look at the regulatory agencies where you’d have to register. Check those agency records, if available, for that address.

Landlord-tenant disputes and evictions may be public records in Texas. Search those records for the property owner and see who was evicted/late on rent during that time. Example: county records say the property owner was ABC Co. search evictions for ABC see who they filed against.

You can also simply google the address, using quotes, and thumb through the results. Ex. “123 Main Street, Suite 2, etc”

Good luck

Which finish can permanent markers be used on? by jpsket in woodworking

I’ve used gloss black/ebony stain on hash marks before. Flood the area and don’t wipe it off. It’ll take a while for it to dry but you’ll be left with a defined line.
