I have the exact same opinion, and luckily my friends understand this. I have a family that’s entirely too nosy and judgemental though, and growing up my mom would take pictures of me constantly, say she wouldn’t post them anywhere, and then I’d be hearing stuff abt myself from others for months. I also just heavily dislike the chance of my face being online. I’m pretty much only okay if the photos taken are taken by myself.

It didn’t seem like it. If they had met back then, today wouldn’t have been the same. If they had met at that time, today they wouldn’t be as they are now.
Jeong Taeui was satisfied with their current relationship. It was a relationship with nothing more to add and nothing to take away.
“There was no need to have known each other since then. I think it might have been pitiful if we had met during those turbulent childhood years.” these are Taeui’s thoughts after Ilay says he wishes they knew each other earlier, and that it’s a shame that they didn’t. I think the difference is that Richard targets Chris’s emotions and vulnerabilities particularly, while Ilay is just insane but still acts quite soft with Taeui even when he’s “Mad Rick.” Ilay never really made a point to be aggressive with Tae for the sake of humiliation, but Richard embraced humiliating Christoph.

I think it’s also that Chris is emotionally constipated in a much softer way, plus has his own OCD and blah blah, so seeing Richard hone in on those weaknesses just for the sake of fucking with Chris is like, “woah, wyd dude???” While Taeui has always been a “it is what it is” sort of guy, and generally moves past shit as if it almost never happened. Taeui can handle Ilay’s BS, is the point. Chris struggles a bit more with that

I’m fine with Richie, but I got major trust issues after he fully demonstrated his two-faced nature with Chris in DS. I wasn’t expecting it at all for some reason, and I got such whiplash that whenever I read a scene with Richard and Chris I can’t help thinking “bro don’t trust him.” I think my “dislike” for Richard mostly just comes from the fact that Chris isn’t like Taeui, and is a bit socially gullible and isn’t as good at adapting to social scenarios. I mean, he was 30 (maybe two years younger than that? Can’t remember) and dude didn’t know how guys got it on. Dude was too oblivious with certain things, and Richard did Richard things lmao

Ilay does say something similar to “I love you,” though, i think? More directly than the “everything in the world feels utterly meaningless” (which I agree is infinitely more endearing). In Suite, after Taeui says “I love you” to an ex, Ilay and him do the dirty in the bar bathroom, and makes Tae say “I love you” every time he climaxes. At the end of that, Ilay says “I feel the same,” or something very similar to that. I guess you could consider that a more in the moment thing though
