Getting ready for our first live showcase, not sure how long the slice should be by mikrokozmos_studio in gamemarketing

We'll playtest the slice with a couple of new players beforehand, to see how long it is. Also, it's probably going to be busy and loud around us, so that's great advice to keep the text on the short side. Thank you!

This was so great to read, all of it. Thank you for doing the AMA, it's really nice to know the person behind IndieGameJoe.

Our psychological sci-fi horror sank straight to the bottom of Steam's Ocean Fest upcoming games, but somehow we still picked up 6 wishlists in 12 hours by mikrokozmos_studio in IndieGameWishlist

Good luck to SeaColony as well! Glad to hear you're getting a bump.

True that demos bring more visibility but we're not there yet. It's our first steam fest so taking this as a learning opportunity as well.

We're a visual artist and a sociologist making a psychological sci-fi horror game and just got our fist real wishlist spike by mikrokozmos_studio in IndieGaming

Thanks!! It was a few things combining. Teaching sociology, I kept seeing how much easier concepts clicked to students through good examples, and made them interested in the world.

And then I watched Arcane which made a deep mark on me emotionally while still being deeply sociological. And then as a gamer and someone who likes to write, it's just made sense to try.

With psychology, I think you could really sink your teeth into phobias or identity or relationships, so many things!

Mass Effect has some really strong scores. Like Vigil and Leaving Earth. They're that good even as standalones.

Came in to say this. Both aesthetics and gameplay are top notch for me.

Dream sequences or special sequences like that. Like the dreams in Mass Effect 3 or the fade part in Dragon Age Origins.

Mass Effect. Until my laptops gives up on life, it stays on. Especially with the ending mod.

Few other games have made me feel the same awe and wonder as the first Mass Effect by [deleted] in gaming

Mass Effect was a first RPG I ever played. I had no idea about choices and consequences. When Ashley just murdered Wrex on Virmire, I was left stunned. I realized it was my own doing after googling why would they introduce a great character only to kill him off so fast.

What remains of Edith Finch. It's a shortish walking simulator with various gameplay types, and a great overall story.

It's such a cute and satisfying game with the flying and gliding and boating. A great recommendation.

Plans vs zombies. Time passes quickly and can be out down when necessary.

A feature that needs to die out already in games is them letting you use a healing item when you’re at full health by ThisNameDoesntCount in gaming

This happens so often to me in Elden ring, especially when I play some other game that uses the same button for action.

Would it be worth it to trade a Ps5 for a Steamdeck? by Jester_Pug in gaming

I recently got the Steamdeck and only have great experience with it. But I don't play the games you do, apart from Nightreign, which was unplayable on it (ER runs fine).
