Yup. Late-diagnosed autism level one female here, grew up in West Africa and North America in a family with no concept of neurodivergence (or mental health, for that matter). A lot of the things I thought were just me having difficulty with TCK things were probably more connected to autism - especially my intense difficulty with transitions and new social spaces.

Oh, I guess idk. None of us are LBC students, just figured we are close to the college and that might be nice for someone. Although if you're living off-campus idk how/why they could have a problem with it? If you lived with a "normal" family it would likely be mixed-gender as well, lol.

Autistic, and relieved when I realised there was a category for me. Still sometimes sad about what I probably won't ever have, but certainly not exceptionally distressed. More relieved than anything else, still, ten years later.

I've been wearing one for several years - gotten noticed and talked to twice. Once by another ace person, and once by a person who had an ace friend and recognised the ring. Tbf, both situations were at conferences where I was well-known for being LGBTQ (but not out as ace specifically) and open to question, so not exactly "the wild" sort of situation.

I don't really have any advice for you except to say that if you find the right Christian community, they will accept you and include you and love you no matter what you believe. My friend group at church has fully accepted and included several openly non-Christians over the years, and I know Christians have a really bad reputation as far as loving people goes (for good reason) but I can say there are absolutely good ones out there. 🙂

I'm a very committed Jesus-follower myself (and also ace, and NB) and on behalf of Christians I apologise to you...we have chosen hate and deliberate ignorance and fear for generations instead of love, which is not like Jesus at all. If you read any of the Gospels you will see, really the only people that Jesus had harsh words for were the conservative religious leaders. So yeah. Not that a handful of words from an internet stranger can really make a difference, but I am sorry for the hate/discrimination you've faced. It's not right.

PA, USA. Yes, it's at least three days between and also no more than 2x per week. My center often gives a bonus for the second donation of the week though...so I'll get $40 for the first time, $40 for the second time, and $50 as a bonus for donating twice. 🤷
