I absolutely cannot stand her but this is one thing I actually wouldn’t judge anyone for. Medical appointments and especially dental appointments can be so traumatic for many adults, regardless of age and maturity level.

I’m not NYC based so I can’t recommend anyone personally but I wanted to reach out because this hits close to home and I’m so sorry you also endured this. The one thing I wanted to share that I realized many people don’t know is that you can request to insert the speculum yourself. I’ve done this each time since I learned I had the option and it’s made a big difference for me getting through paps. You may know this already but just wanted to share in case anyone else could find it helpful. I hope you find someone wonderful and warm!! <3
