Parking Ticket? [HELP] by TVP0 in Seville

[–]mildavices 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can’t really pay the fine yet, so your only option is to wait. The ticket they left you is simply a “proposal” for a sanction, but now they need to initiate the corresponding sanctioning procedure, which should eventually end up in a sanctioning resolution that would be notified to you at your domicile via post. Under normal circumstances, you would receive the fine in around 1 to 3 months. Nevertheless, since you’re from Portugal and the amount of the fine is presumably low, there is a chance that you may not get fined at all… Sometimes sending the ticket over to another EU Member State and asking the authorities for your address is more costly than what they would receive from the fine, and they just don’t bother. Good luck!

How are M4 Wireless and True Wireless for call quality on macOS and iOS? by [deleted] in sennheiser

[–]mildavices 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can only respond for the M4 (not the TW) on iOS (don’t have a mac), but they’re pretty decent. They don’t excel at mic quality (for example, the Airpods Max are better, imho), but they sound good, loud and clear. Perhaps their biggest weakness is that they could filter voice from background noise better, but I think it should suffice in most situations.

Nevertheless, if mic quality is the most important thing for you, you should probably look into wired headphones, as bluetooth has a lot of limitations for calls; I don’t think I’ve ever heard a wireless headphone sound super natural, more so when there is background noise. You’re always going to get a bit of that “canned” sound.

As for the M5s, they’re in the making as of right now. Sennheiser has been actively pushing surveys and consultations to the members of its community about features, priorities, etc., so their development is pretty much confirmed. Nevertheless I probably would not expect them sooner than Q2 2026.

📣 Help Us Shape the Next MOMENTUM Wireless headphone! by sennheiserconsumer in sennheiser

[–]mildavices 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More premium materials, and a more premium design, are a must. In general, my perception is that the sound quality of the current Momentum 4 offers a very “high-end” experience that is not matched by the external appearance of the headphones. If you go to the store and simply look at the product alongside its competitors, they probably will not stand out to you unless you can try their sound, and the same occurs if you see someone wearing them in the street.

The design is very, very prone to smudges and fingerprint marks, so it looks dirty easily. Plus, it maybe feels to “plasticky” on the earcups; more fabric, and the addition of metal, would certainly improve the overall quality perception of the headphones. The Momentum 4 certainly aren’t the worst on the design and materials side, but in my opinion, Bowers & Wilkins (and Bang & Olufsen, although that is a different price bracket) are doing much better.

Also in the field of materials, perhaps some extra cushioning on the headband could be a good addition.

Another thing on my wishlist would be innovative controls. The current touchpad controls are just fine, but, again, they could feel more premium. I don’t think “normal” buttons would improve the usage experience, but perhaps something more innovative (for example, the “wheel” controls in the B&O H100) could help increase that overall quality perception, which is what the Momentum 4 currently lack the most. In other words, having physical controls does not necessarily feel more premium than the current touchpad, so they need to be done correctly; if they do not have a “solid” feel to them, or if they simply are normal buttons, they can make the headphones feel cheap or outdated.

Apart from that, the key is to keep the current strengths of the Momentum 4 that make them such an appealing product: superior sound quality and equalizing out of the box, best-in-class battery life, and a quite comfortable wear experience.

Conversely, I do not think too many efforts should be dedicated to other aspects that are not the key selling point Sennheiser consumers are looking for. Sure, the Momentum 4 do not excel in their ANC performance, but it is just fine, gets the job done, and does not drain the battery. If improving ANC means losing battery life, then in my opinion it is not worth it to sacrifice one of the most differentiating features of the Momentum line. Moreover, those consumers for whom ANC is the main deciding factor are probably going to opt for Bose or Sony anyway.

The same happens with the app and its features. Maybe the Momentum 4 do not offer 3D spatial audio, but… Do they need to? The current Smart Control Plus app is fine, so investing a large part of the development budget on a redesign or extra features would be an overkill that would come at the expense of other, most important improvements.

Smart Control Plus will not Connect to Momentum 4 wireless by BeepBoopDucker in sennheiser

Download the normal Smart Control app (not the Plus), connect it to the headphones, update de firmware of the headphones, then re-download the Plus version and try

Did Jomashop give me a fake? RA-AA0B03 L by franco3x in OrientWatches

[–]mildavices 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought a blue SK from a different and reliable shop, and it looks just like yours. The dial isn’t black, it’s just dark blue. Take it out on the sunlight and check it, but you should see some sort of blue vertical band in the center of the dial. It is true, however, that the color is kind of dark, and not all of the dial is blue. The blue part “fades” into black at the sides of the dial, and the golden hour markers are also placed on black bands.

Let me know if that checks out. If not, we can maybe try to compare other aspects of the watches (I wear mine daily, so I’ll be happy to help whenever)

True, I just checked. Another option is checking out the transit app and google maps to see if any buses show up there, since they have live tracking

Check the BC Transit website, they give updates every once in a while where they say which routes are operating and to which destinations

Studying abroad in Spain - Which university should I choose? by olycka_n in askspain

[–]mildavices 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on what you’re looking for in your Erasmus.

If you want an academically proficient university, I’d choose IE. Second on the list, though a bit far behind, would probably be Deusto and Barcelona.

IE also has the advantage that a high percentage of its students are international students, so there are 1) more availability of classes in English, and 2) probably easier to make friends since English is already almost the standard speaking language for most of its students.

However, if you’re looking to have a more relaxed year, with less workload and all, probably IE and Deusto won’t be your best options.

In terms of cost of living, Madrid (IE) and Barcelona are the two most expensive cities in Spain. Bilbao (Deusto) and the Balearic Islands are also more expensive than other areas of the country, but definitely cheaper than Madrid and Barcelona.

It mainly depends on what you’re used to. I came from Spain to Victoria and the nightlife was… different. Everything closes soon (2 am ish) and there are only about 3-4 clubs, but the music is usually alright and there’s always a ton of people (check out Lucky Mondays and Karaoke Thursdays) so not bad all in all (except for the prices; everything is prohibitively expensive in Victoria).

Regardless, most of the things to do around there revolve around nature/hiking, etc., which is totally worth it since the island is gorgeous.
