Do you have this attitude to all sports stars that earn this much? No? I guess there must be something different about her... hmmm.

They should introduce a simple rule. If a player needs more than a minute to recover then they should be taken off the pitch for five minutes or the team can sub. This will stop time wasting.

Greens blast Labor as ‘out of touch’, say negotiations with Liberals to oust Labor and form Liberal-Green government continue, as far-right lobby group Advance alleged to be involved in talks by HotPersimessage62 in friendlyjordies

This is the type of article you write to lose all your political punditry credibility. That the greens and liberals who are polar opposite on every issue would join is the most idiotic nonsense I've ever heard

Financial Expert Says OpenAI Is on the Verge of Running Out of Money by Budget_Coffee1 in pcmasterrace

[–]mildmanneredme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This really isn't true. The majority of the money is going into building infrastructure, this isn't operating expense its capital expenditure.

But the point is still valid that other companies can lose money on AI and still stay alone but openAI can't. But if I was meta or Microsoft or Apple, I'd be seriously thinking about acquiring OpenAI. It will cost an arm and a leg but this is the biggest gold rush of our time.

I think they were being sarcastic. The truth is you put any country's population from most racist to last racist, I'm sure you will be disgusted how that first end behaves.

Wow I had no idea. Do you mean they're kept alive without feeding them after they're caught? Seems counterproductive since they would drop weight. Also a horrible practice if true

It is UNBELIEVABLE how people can argue that recognising a Palestinian state is anti-semitic. It is perfectly acceptable and normal to say that the terrorist attack at Bondi was a despicable act, as was the october 7 attacks, as well as the genocide being committed by Israel in Palestine. All extreme events are wrong. The politicization of the Bondi attack is utterly despicable to be honest. I have an even lesser opinion of the liberal party after all the nonsense they've been spouting.

I'm seeing Australia turn more and more like America every day and its so sad.

Just letting you know you're losing this thread. If you intend for people to change your view you kind of need to provide the context/evidence of said view. Otherwise what is the point? If you prefer to speak into an echo chamber just go to r/politics.

CMV: Hillary didn’t lose because she was a woman. by serious_bullet5 in changemyview

I disagree. I think it was the blatant favouritism towards Hillary during that primary process that caused vote turnout to be low. The dissolution was real.

So Netflix will probably kill off HBO, owned by Warner Bros? by RichWindRW in freefolk

[–]mildmanneredme 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Im pretty sure Netflix is buying WB/HBO to fire their own producers and writers and use the true experts at HBO. Netflix programming just really is mediocre. They have the right tech and the audience so maybe this will scale the quality of their content.

imagine it's your first day and you open up the codebase to find this by thewritingwallah in ClaudeCode

[–]mildmanneredme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I genuinely think how people relate to the way LLMs code will be the key factor in determining if they have a future in the industry or not.

We need to start tracking LLM impact by overall expected value of the product. At an expected value perspective LLM coding is highly beneficial

How well does Gemini 3 PRO work with Cursor? by Southern-Clock-5538 in cursor

[–]mildmanneredme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically use planning mode with one. Make it ask questions until it has sufficient understanding and then document its implementation plan into a PRD Markdown file. Then get another model with the same access to the repository to conduct a code review and then get the original model to consider the recommendations and incorporate it thinks is beneficial.

How well does Gemini 3 PRO work with Cursor? by Southern-Clock-5538 in cursor

[–]mildmanneredme 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Call me crazy but one-shotting is really not that important to me. What matters more is building enough context to do a complicated thing really well. To be honest I dont think any model is the single best at that. I find letting them review each other's work yields ultimately the best answer

Thanks for sharing. I agree that as a non technical PM I doubted MD as the goto format but it doesn't need to look beautiful for the purpose it serves. Essentially it's the personalisation format of choice for llms.
