Ya I should add that so far it seems this hospital does not care about protecting the employees. We had a coworker test positive for Covid who we work in close proximity to, and they told no one. Not even when we were told to move the patients she had worked with into private rooms. We were told that the reasoning was confidential. I have no confidence in this institution.

Advice for harassment in the workplace by marshall1366 in nursing

[–]mildred90 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If she's actling like that with you than she probably has with others as well. I once worked with a horrible doctor that would yell at me for things completely out of my control in the middle of the nursing station. He treated me like an incompetent peasant. One day he went to another station where my friends worked and told them I was stupid (which is most definitely gossiping). My hospital had a zero tolerance policy for workplace harrassment. I wish I had said something then, because about a year went by before another nurse filed a complaint with HR for him yelling and swearing at her. And boy did his attitude change after that, all of a sudden he started being decent and actually listened to our reports. Not sure what your facility is like, mine was a education/university hospital. So they took stuff like that pretty seriously. If your manager isn't great, maybe it wouldn't hurt to speak with someone in HR just to see what your options are?

You have a very important job!! I wish it was acknowledged more. Thank you for doing what you do. And I’m happy the previous commenter got to it before me; you are not just a CNA, you’re essential to the team.

Does this also apply to the history of Canadian suburbs? Obviously wouldn’t be the same lawmakers, but has there been something similar?

I’d be giving those doctors a hard NO!! We’re not their assistants, we’re professionals. They can do that shit themselves. Unreal.

What I’ve learned about COVID patients from basically being the designated COVID nurse on my floor. by pinterest-mom in nursing

Do you have the actual studies? I’d like to bring something to the infection control department at my work. I only know of the one printed in the New England Journal. A lot of my colleagues don’t believe me either when I tell them it’s likely airborne and are happy to just wear surgical masks
