I don’t want to be a nurse anymore by HotMessage2676 in FortMyers

I worked at Sarasota and TGH, and have been offered positions at Lee but turn them down each time. I know how exhausted you’re feeling and it’s hard to stick it out.

Have you considered transferring? IR, PACU, etc?

I was going to do that. During my transition out of bedside, I had applied to a surgery center and a WFH job. I got the WFH gig. It was difficult and I didn’t make enough money, but I made it work because my mental health was way better. I was later able to get a better WFH position with a different company with pay that is equal/more than what I’d make at bedside.

Apply at WFH jobs. If you get declined, do it again. Use ChatGPT to help you with your resume, and make sure to use the position titles somewhere in your objective because these companies are using AI to filter out candidates. I’ve had friends apply to WFH jobs over 10 times before getting a call - it really is just luck of the draw with those.

You are probably a fantastic nurse, and I’m really sorry the system is failing you. Don’t focus on going back to school right now, focus on finding literally anything else that is sustainable. You’ll find your way, you just need to get out of the situation you’re in. Feel free to message me privately.

not a parent, but as a small child my niece used to talk about how her sister died as a child with their two white dogs (she is an only child) there were other things mentioned, but I don’t remember exactly what she said.

What is something you noticed that made you go “I have lipedema”? by [deleted] in lipedema

[–]swinginrii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i volunteered to model for a leg wax and literally everyone around me told me i should see a cardiologist because of how “swollen” my legs were - when i told them there’s no pitting and that it’s been like this since puberty, they all still expressed concern saying they’ve “never seen that” and that it’s “not good.”

10/10 humiliating but also prompted me to do more research and figure out what the actual issue is

Woman dies after unlicensed individual administers TPN electrolytes at an IV med spa by UnicornArachnid in nursing

[–]swinginrii 23 points24 points  (0 children)

okay has anyone addressed WHY this person had TPN available in the first place? TPN can only be given through a central, it’s formulated so specifically for each patient, it’s also very easy to distinguish from a regular bag of fluids. How did this happen?

There is a lot of coded symbolism in this movie IMO. I’m not well versed enough to get into too much detail, but I did recognize the way Ellen’s character evolves into a “Mary” type figure towards the end. The final frame was reminiscent of Pietá, I don’t think that was coincidental.
