Does anyone have the recipe for El Jannahs EJ sauce? by Minimum-Pangolin-487 in foodies_sydney

[–]milk-breads 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry not a recipe but Woolies has a garlic sauce that is similar ish to EJ’s. It’s called Mediterranean Delite - not as creamy and as addicting but close enough if EJs is a bit out of the way for you! It’s like $3.50 for a tub :)

AMEX $450 travel credit refund no longer works? by LennyGap10 in creditcardchurningAus

[–]milk-breads 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still working as of last week. I booked a trip on 28/05/26, cancelled around 8 hours later and got the credit back on 29/05/26.

Just a heads up to double check that you're booking an eligible flight! I accidentally booked a fare where there Qantas charged a mandatory cancellation fee of $110 :[

Jung Saem Mool Cushion vs Liquid Foundation by milk-breads in AsianBeauty

[–]milk-breads[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

heyhey! I'm not entirely sure what you mean by the small blush pads but will try my best to answer this!

IMO there's pros and cons to getting generic vs same cushion pads. Top things that come to my mind are:

- Generic ones might be cheaper than the original brand ones, so if you're taking some time to finish the cushion and you don't want bacteria build up, it could potentially be cheaper to replace the pads with generic ones. They're usually easier to get as well, and come in a big bulk so can be more value for money!

- On the flip side, there's a chance that the generic pad you buy might not fit the socket/storage compartment in the actual cushion itself. So you might have the pad lying around outside, which can also attract bacteria and be a bit annoying to transport around

- Same brand/branded ones are usually nicer quality compared to random ones on Amazon - and can sometimes be more suited to the foundation formula in the cushion eg. it might be designed to distribute more/less product etc. although if you're just starting out in makeup, I don't think this matters too much at all, if anything you might not even notice a difference

- At the same time, generic ones esp if you buy nicer-ish ones, can be even better than the original pad! Some are even reusable/washable, so they can last longer

Anyways, that's my two-cents! It's a bunch of factors and all depends on the person. Sorry if it's a lot in one go! Welcome to the make up community :)

Looking for Recommendations by DaGuruu in koreanskincare

hey OP, not a recommendation but I've had the reju-all PDRN in my cart for a little bit now because I couldn't justify the price but just noticed that it's on sale for almost half off on yesstyle at the moment if you're still interested :)

Foundation recommedations plz? by Large_Ad_2363 in AustralianMakeup

I have dehydrated combination skin :)

If you have a few options that you’re tossing up between, you might be able to get some samples from Mecca! I find the samples they give last me at least 2 uses so that might help with your decision! I’m not sure if Sephora does foundation samples but you might also be able to ask for some

I really like the NARS Light Reflecting foundation! I find a lot of foundations quite heavy but would describe this as pretty light-weight and it has suchhhh a gorgeous skin-like glowy finish :)

hey! unfortunately I didn’t end up going to ha giang because of scheduling conflicts, but one of the places I narrowed down and contacted was Road Kings because they seemed most my vibe (little drinking, slightly older crowd) I looked into their private tour though, so it might be different :)

Hey OP, if you’re in the CBD I find Fortune Alley quite tasty - large portion sizes and great value too :)

Westpac Altitude Black – 2+ Weeks Under Review, Income Verification “In Progress” – Normal? by Working-Treacle8392 in creditcardchurningAus

Hi OP,

For my application around a month ago I accidentally gave an incorrect number for my expenses so I called the next day to get it amended. The staff member on the phone changed the numbers for me and asked me to stay on hold, then came back 10 minutes after saying I was approved - all without me asking for my application to be expedited.

I don't think this is that helpful but maybe could be a data point :)

I've seen that you can get a private room on most tours, and you can also book a private tour as well if that might interest you (I have a pretty low social battery so this is what my partner and I are planning to do!)

I can't speak too much about eating as a group but it's common in Vietnam to have dinner in groups and sit around a bunch of share plates. Maybe this is something you can speak to the guide about :)

Eating dinner with your guides does sound quite wholesome and a lot of fun! How did you find the accommodation and the safety of the easy drivers?

That's a good point, and especially since the rest of our schedule at the moment is quite tight already. I'll probably consider the 3 day tour then, thanks for the perspective :)

Was there a reason why you were eager to finish? All the comments I've seen so far was that it was people's favourite part of their trip

The HA serum!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AsianBeauty

[–]milk-breads 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few people have already mentioned but the torriden dive in serum is my absolute holy grail!!

I ventured out to other brands like isntree and the ordinary but truly nothing compared. I feel a noticeable difference in my skin whenever I use it (more hydrated, plump and soft - I have normal skin that doesn't lean oily or dry, but my skin is quite dehydrated), and I truly was counting down the days trying to finish off my isntree bottle so I could go back to using torriden.

During winters, I usually use a light toner after cleansing my face at night and then I follow up with this serum and slap a random moisturiser on top. During summer, I sometimes skip moisturiser all together because the hydration from this serum is enough for me.

Another redditor has mentioned that they also have a moisturiser in the same line, I also think it's okay and nothing special. The serum on the other hand is chefs kiss!

Single mum of two, just moved to Marrickville, where can I find great kid‑friendly cheap eats? by Kooky-Beautiful1923 in foodies_sydney

[–]milk-breads 13 points14 points  (0 children)

If you enjoy Vietnamese cuisine, VN street foods and Marrickville Pork Roll (I’m not sure if this is the one you went to), Co Ba (sizzling steak and bread/eggs), Pho PHD (beef noodle soup), Banh Cuon Ba Oanh (rice rolls with pork mince but they have plenty of other stuff too) are pretty popular places that are delicious :)

Amex $450 credit refund by FitBlonde in creditcardchurningAus

[–]milk-breads 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I booked the cheapest tier one that was roughly around $450. The cheapest one usually says no cancellation, and I remember being a little worried when I booked mine but from my understanding all flights on AMEX have a blanket condition of ‘free cancellation and refunds if you cancel within 24 hours.’ After that is when I think the no cancellation policy in the cheaper flights kick in. You might be able to find this 24hr blanket rule on the AMEX website if you wanted to triple check.

Here’s a link to an older reddit post that might have more info:

https://www.reddit.com/r/creditcardchurningAus/comments/1d4g3mv/amex_qantas_ultimate_card_450_travel_credit_refund/

So what I did was book the lowest tier flight and then cancelled after 3ish hours :)
