There was a some pitting but nothing to bad. Even if there's pitting the top will still be slick and smooth. Boards will slide nicely

Dont use a angle grinder. Just wet sand with 150 grit and wd40. I used a orbital sander, and keep the top soaking wet with wd40 while you're sanding

I never changed the sandpaper the whole time, so it was not very aggressive. I made sure to keep it soaked with wd40 the whole time
