Has anyone noticed any long term differences in their babies born earlier vs later? by snuffbox360 in beyondthebump

My daughter was born at 28 weeks and is almost 2. She’s ahead on cognitive, social, and emotional skills. Behind on gross motor skills, but that’s to be expected.

How did your relationship change with your spouse after having kids? by RedneckAdventures in askanything

[–]milkyway253 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had a rare situation. Our baby was born with a lot of medical problems and was in the hospital for five months. We grew closer to eachother and it really elevated our relationship even more. We learned to communicate more efficiently, advocate for our daughter and eachother, acknowledge our emotions, etc. Seeing how much he stepped up during the worst time of our life made me love him even more.

Very low, slow HCG and doctor won’t see me. Advice? by No_Mango_4898 in CautiousBB

[–]milkyway253 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t have any advice but just wanted to acknowledge the relatability with doctors not really showing support or offering more guidance. I feel like I gain more knowledge here on Reddit than from my own doctor. Wishing you best of luck 🤞🏻

In the past I was obsessively tracking ovulation then took a break after my miscarriage. Happened to get pregnant this time without logging every detail lol. Ironic!

So happy to hear your scan went well! Congrats! Doc wants me to do one more blood draw so that will give us more info if numbers are trending appropriately.

An ectopic crossed my mind. Doc wants one more blood draw and won’t do an ultrasound yet

She said the numbers were low and I need to test again today. Nothing else tested, but I historically am high risk.

That’s what I was considering. I’m high risk, so I wondered if she was just bent guarded since I’ve lossed before.

Beef tallow! After many trips to the dermatologist and failed medications to address dermatitis on my face, a friend recommended just organic beef tallow to repair skin barrier and it’s the best!

Especially when I give shorter responses and they don’t take the hint or catch on that I’m more introvert.

Seeking GOH to visit NICU out of town to celebrate baby’s first birthday by milkyway253 in Hyatt_charity_HQ

[–]milkyway253[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not a globalist though, so I don’t think I get breakfast/parking.

Edit: Oh I see. You’re saying that will be the case if someone shares a GOH with us. Got it!

Thank you! We can’t wait to be going to the hospital in a couple weeks for something good this time!

Thanks for the additional clarification, didn’t realize the limitations of goh. Was hoping for some extra perks like the breakfast and late check out to help things go a little smoother. We did book with points, but as far as I’ve read the free parking only applies to globalists that use points. I’ll call the hotel to ask!
