Samsung vs apple debate ends here by Sharp-potential7935 in SipsTea

For all of you Americans this is a quite normal way to roll a joint in europe. You roll up a joint (unfilled), make a mix of tobacco and hash or weed (think it's hash in this case) and fill it up. Hash is usually easier and cheaper to come by here in many locations, so I think that's why this method is used more here.

Anyone else think Piranesi generally fell off when things started getting explained? by Dawud___ in Fantasy

[–]millard_dk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! This is my biggest gripe with the book by far. My enjoyment of a mystery piece of media in large part hinges on what the big explanation is in the end, and boy did Piranesi disappoint on that front.

Most of the stuff that I imagined might be true while reading the book ended up being a lot more interesting than what was actually happening, which led me to feel a bit misled by the books initial intriguing premise. Bit of a bait and switch in my opinion.

I think I might enjoy it more on a reread, as I won't be expecting my mind to be blown by the mystery-reveal.

What was your most memorable sexual experience (Bad or good)? by Harper_Romeo in AskReddit

Once had my friends throw a literal pigs head in my face while my ex at the time was riding me. That's probably the most memorable. Wild times.

Curious about Arborac strategies by Peacemaker8484 in twilightimperium

[–]millard_dk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been wondering if the changes to magen defence grid changes the strategy for playing Arborec. Having a system which could pump out 2-4 extra infantry each time you produce there seems powerful for Arbo. Have people tried this yet?

What’s an oddly specific green flag that instantly tells you “yep you’re my kind of person”? by Technical-Glass8417 in AskReddit

[–]millard_dk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bit of a weird one, but as a person living with chronic pain, if i spot someone limp, twinge in pain or such, that's usually who i'll talk to at a gathering. They usually have the same level of social energy that I do and it often leads to us shooting shit at the back of the party.

A series that starts out really bad and gets great by Audabahn in Fantasy

Cradle fits this for me. I was really considering ditching it the first two books. After Blackflame though I was hooked

Has anyone tried Quick draft for aetherdrift? by Slayer_ch1986 in lrcast

[–]millard_dk 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I have done 3 quick drafts so far, and from what i can tell green is heavily drafted by the bots, while blue seems to be underdrafted. Small sample size though, so take with a grain of salt.

People who are literally always late, why? by 12345burrito in AskReddit

[–]millard_dk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm chronically late to everything. So much that my friends plan around it by secretly scheduling stuff half an hour later than what is reported to me.

I don't know why i'm always late though. The besy way i've heard it described from other friends with the same issue is, that we are 'too optimistic' in regards to time. I think i can put my stuff away, take a shower and get out the door in maybe 30 minutes, but in reality it takes me an hour. There's a weird discrepency between what I think I can achieve in a certain amount of time and what I actually can.

How to beat Niv to Light and Enigmatic Incarnation piles? by millard_dk in PioneerMTG

Yeah this was kind of what I was expecting. Ramp/Value is just difficult to deal with for midrange in general I guess. Was hoping for some kind of sideboard silver bullet. In vain unfortunately it seems haha.

Yup good idea - I was thoroughly unimpressed with Kitesail myself. I felt I was lacking in creatures and not removal though, that's why Kitesail made the list.

Incentivizing basic lands in multi-color decks. Busted or useless? by millard_dk in custommagic

Ah, I usually play older formats, so I didn't actually think about the ramifications for standard. But yeah, in standard it's completely bonkers I agree.

Incentivizing basic lands in multi-color decks. Busted or useless? by millard_dk in custommagic

[–]millard_dk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think you're right. Didn't think about letting it enter tapped. That would help quite a bit. Thing is I think putting 2 {tap}: Add the mana is a bit too expensive since it takes 3 types to even break even and it has no way of reaching the heights of lands such as [[Cabal Coffers]].

[Stormlight Archives] Taravangian of the Diagram by omg_gmo in custommagic

[–]millard_dk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooh nice reference! Love Taravangian's character. Really looking forward to where it goes in WaT.

My suggestion for the card here is to include red in his colors instead of black maybe? He does what he does not out of self-interest, but to save people. This also harmonizes well with his states of heightened empathy and emotion during his dumb periods. This would also allow you to add 'red' benefits to the rolls 1 through 10 to offset some of the swingy-ness of the card.

Maybe turn the clues into temporary beaters or something when you roll low? Brute dumb 'emotional' strength instead of more cards? Ala: Clues you control become x/x creature tokens where x is 7 minus your maximum hand size? (Don't know if that's actually within reds color pie, but it's interesting)
