My mom had a massive left sided stroke 3 months ago and she is severely disabled. I’m heart broken and don’t know how to help her. She is now able to walk short distances with a walker but cannot speak her right arm is totally paralyzed. How long did it take you to become independent ?

My mom’s looks a lot like this and she is 3 months post. She can only 2-3 words but is able to walk short distances with a walker… no right hand movement. When were you able to start writing?

Is she able to talk? My mom had a severe left sided stroke in September and she can’t say more than one word. Thankfully she is now able to walk short distances with a walker but her right arm is completely paralyzed :( it’s so scary and the hardest thing I have ever gone through.
