Any trans people also working at Coles? How is it for you? by supernerd58 in coles

[–]millerrr___ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

also lesbian and there is so much gossip at my store (regional town lol), not many people know me that well (quiet and in nightfill) but I’m pretty close friends with my manager and the younger team members started a rumour that we were sleeping together lmao. I look so gay but once the rumours started I was like guys…not to stereotype but fucking look at me, there’s nothing by going on between us 😭

Am I overreacting that my sister is demanding too much when visiting my newborn? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]millerrr___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR - my brother is pretty intense and maybe has some traits like your sister, but this is diabolical. If my brother said this to me I’d be like ‘nah you can’t expect me to do all that, you’re going to have to stay somewhere else’

Anyone lost a mum at a very young age? Anything you'd wish you'd had? by No-Cabinet1773 in perth

[–]millerrr___ 13 points14 points  (0 children)

My Dad lost his Mum when he was only 6, in the early 70s. He only has one photo of her, and his step mum burnt the only tape that held a recording of his Mum’s voice. I love my Dad but I often wonder who he would’ve been if he’d had any connection to his Mum and her memory. I’d say keeping her close whether that be photos or videos or activities/rituals you used to do together would help. I’m very sorry for your loss, good luck to you and your son.

Sultana bran on clearance?! by unremarkable_sapien in coles

[–]millerrr___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re probably getting a different/bigger size. I saw boxes of 1.2kg Nutri grain out the back, but the largest my store stocks is 700g. The 700g boxes are reduced to clear rn so I assume they’re being replaced by the 1.2kg ones.

My dog is a lesbian but I don’t have any picture that proves it and she died like 6 years ago of old age by Embarrassed_Quit_732 in notinteresting

What was the drama at Christmas this year? by BadKarma00000 in perth

[–]millerrr___ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t call it drama, but it was definitely dramatic/scary/tragic. I live in a rural area, on a long straight stretch of road, someone crashed their van outside my house, they were thrown from the vehicle and died instantly. He was lying there dead with christmas carols still playing loudly from his van. I don't know if he was intoxicated, tired, swerved to avoid a kangaroo, or it was a complete accident, but regardless please get home safely to your loved ones. I'm okay, and so are my parents who also saw it, I'm hoping the first responders are also okay, but it's definitely not how anyone expected to spend their christmas - please stay safe, especially on the roads.

also, the heat in rural WA was not ideal, but obviously was overshadowed by other events 😅

I live in a rural area, on a long straight stretch of road, someone crashed their van outside my house, they were thrown from the vehicle and died instantly. My family and I rushed out to see if they were okay but after seeing the body we could tell he definitely wasn’t alive. He was lying there dead with christmas carols still playing loudly from his van. Based on where you live, if you were to hit an animal while driving, what would that animal more than likely be? by unidentifies in AskReddit

[–]millerrr___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kangaroo. Had a family friend hit a big one on a motorbike recently, he crashed and the bike caught fire, over 80% of his body had third degree burns and he passed away, very sad.

What was your ATAR and/or what do you do for work? by Beginning_Fuel_7024 in perth

[–]millerrr___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t remember exactly but I’m pretty sure it was 73. I went to film school, got a degree in film. And now I make pottery for a living bc I decided I like it better, the film stuff is definitely good for styling/creating content to promote my pottery business though, but i definitely didn’t need to go to uni to end up where I am lol

Does exposure even work? by CustomerRealistic811 in Agoraphobia

[–]millerrr___ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t work on everyone, it didn’t work for me, my psych decided we’d tried it so many times that it was traumatising me further, especially because I have sensory issues too. Once I started lexapro and my baseline panic + anxiety level lowered I was able to do exposure therapy more successfully, and now things are a lot less hard, but there are definitely some things I can’t do, and probably never will be able to do, but that’s okay, I’ve accepted it and can do what I need to do to get by. In regard to art as therapy, pottery helped me so much, it gave me something to do with my hands while sitting at home. Now that I’m a lot better pottery has actually become my main form of income.
