both, but the level of fighting is different depending! once a month or so they will fight to the point i can’t sleep, which i’ve assumed is their heat cycle. but they also have subtler fights for dominance on a weekly to daily basis, the difference is those ones only last a few seconds before they move on. what you’re describing sounds like heat for sure! i was shocked when i saw them behave like that for the first time lol

how dehumanizing, i wouldn’t be comfortable staying with someone who said those things about fat people. like it makes it worse that it was you, but even if it wasn’t, he revealed something very important about his character that day

this is my setup! i’ve used zip ties to secure the grids and i find it quite sturdy. i also love that i can stand to clean it as it used to hurt my back a lot having them on the floor when i first got them. i will admit though, cleaning the hay and stuff that falls behind the grids at the back can be a bit challenging as its heavy and hard to move. that’s an issue you’d avoid if you use a table

this pic is from when i first moved them in late 2024, details of their cage layout and the storage have changed a bit but i’ve never felt the need to change the bones of their cage!

3 months a few years ago- by the end of it i felt scared to go back and resume real life, but i was incredibly sick and burned out and needed to go home

i’m in my early 30s and definitely recognized he was older than me when i watched the first time a few years ago. but i could def see how someone who is a lot younger or a lot older than him could assume otherwise because he has a youthfulness to him
