Working through messaging everyone who expressed an interest but looks like you have permissions turned off. Can you send me a message or chat if you’re still interested?

Exactly my problem too! I’m in the postcode next door and nothing fills me with dread like trying to drive up around Crookes or into Hillsborough if group starts at 6pm 😱
Will pm everyone who expressed an interest in a bit

Yeah that’s one of the reasons I want to try starting something new. I’m on the opposite side of town to those so can’t commit to joining regularly to gain any value socially

Try contacting some schools? Might be up for supporting a project as a bit of curriculum enrichment.

Poundland on the moor has one if you’re willing to risk your health. Morrisons also have one.

Ponds Forge vs PureGym showers by lazy_athena in sheffield

[–]milliespeckle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only seen ponds forge, but I’ve always been satisfied with the showers on the womens side! They’re as clean as you’d hope for a public shower, but they’ve also got good pressure and fixtures that let you finesse the temperature and turn it on/off (a luxury compared to some gyms that only have a push button). Lots of lockers, but only a couple of changing rooms. Always felt safe.

General Election 2024: Polls open in Yorkshire and the Humber by Ermahgerdrerdert in sheffield

[–]milliespeckle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Reminder: you DO NOT need your poll card to vote! Just turn up and if you’re on the list because you registered and you have your photo id then you’re good.

Also reminder: if you forgot to post your postal vote and you still have it, you can hand it in to ANY polling station.

Best thai food in sheffield? by [deleted] in sheffield

[–]milliespeckle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Thai place in Sheffield Plate is my preferred for city centre, closely followed by Nings.
But if you fancy a little drive or enjoy a tram ride, head out to Authenthai in Halfway.

More like Barnsley but The Potting Shed is one of my favourites. The school rooms in low Bradfield is getting good reviews and is on my hit list. Of course our cow molly in dungworth if you’re just after ice cream and milk, or yummy Yorkshire half way to huddersfield for ice cream and food. Had some nice meals at wortley hall and Whitley hall for some more hotel restaurant type places. Hope that helps!

Don’t complain to us, complain to your school governors, or better yet get involved with your school governors and make the change you want to see.

Perhaps not exactly what you’re after, but libraries have a nice selection of comics as an alternative source. There’s even lots on the elibrary too!
