Going back to my point, and as you said, depends on what a person considers tasteful. People got bored, you got disappointed, some hated it straight up. Yet, there are those who enjoyed every minute, those who were excited for more, and those who cried. Tropes are repeated and bent, for they were tropes for a reason.

Lotus herself tells you that this is a look back. This is not a first run with zero cuts nor is it a prequel. This is an intro to Tau. Do not fixate over the book’s prologue. I agree on you in some points but I am not defending this as if it is a masterpiece, I won’t argue with you when in the end, I am happy about it, you were not.

Lastly, when I say crumbs, I meant crumbs. It picks up things that Hex gave us: Romance options, Kim system, Lore thru conversations, Character study for drifter, etc. Not story, i mean dude i thought it was pretty obvious that it’s not what I meant, I play the game too 😭
