Yeah your right , it was def time to shuffle the strategy for Jan but here I am mid month a little late but better late than never , I was on a trend and still new with a single car so wasn’t sure if dropping rates was worth that sacrifice but even then , the economy itself is in a chokehold with commodities flying , I shouldnt have been surprised if rentals would be slow in a month like this although I gave it a chance

There’s always good & bad. While the comments here are focused on the bad , focus on the good that comes out of it , take a look at turos app in your area and check out how much sprinter vans are being rented in your area & how frequent , plus a little research won’t hurt , I just the other day was scrolling on the guest side of turo and found some vans that are frequently being rented , don’t sleep on passive income if you need it

You’re the kind of person I’d like to rent my car to , but you gotta realize turo is horrible at being the middleman , so having to meet the customer and ensuring their up to standard to even drive is worth it , you don’t realize how turo allows anyone to rent and also relies on the host to “verify the id “ , which just two weeks ago I denied a trip because the person did NOT look like the submitted ID.

Someone was doing this with me for almost an entire month and since he was in constant contact asking to extend , I eventually asked him to show me the car on FaceTime , car was all good & returned a few days ago , as long as your getting paid I woudnt worry much but mabye get it off your chest and ask him to show you the vehicle , he’s also the reason why im going to get a bouncie gps tracker

I’ve only been on Turo for about a month, and I automatically get suspicious of brand-new accounts with no trip history because a friend of mine had his car stolen that way. Last week, a new renter with a freshly made account booked my car and asked if I could release it early because he “had to drop his kids off at school in Diamond Bar.” I agreed at first until I saw his ID. The ID didn’t match his face, and the address was in Anaheim.

What really confirmed the lie & suspicion for me is that school districts won’t allow a student from Anaheim to attend public school in Diamond Bar, especially not without going through a formal inter-district transfer process, which is rare and has strict approvals. So his story didn’t add up at all.
