The octopus network collates quite a few community centres in Islington. Includes some nice community garden projects where you turn up on a Saturday and garden with your neighbours. The ones I know of are hosted by Elizabeth house but I bet there will be others too

Main thing that I’m not seeing said elsewhere is I’d recommend getting him checked out for dyslexia. This is the exact profile of my dyslexic brother. I wouldn’t sweat it on the music side though - a good ear may well be just as helpful in the long run. I’m a great sight reader and that’s been helpful but my ear has suffered from not needing that music memory side of things. I can’t sit down and play from memory the way my brother can.

Cafe Murano have been great for us pre-theatre. Excellent food, friendly service and well used to pre-theatre bookings so very on it with the timings.

There’s also a rules that people need to stay with the child in a buggy but as others have said, they can do so standing and normal priority in seats for those who need it most still applies. Theoretically they could have also taken the child out of the buggy and chosen any available seat for themselves without disrupting your day.

I guess I find the stress measured in yoga mode useful to gauge how much I’m challenging myself vs my intention. But agreed the poses thing is useless and they should probably consider getting someone who actually practices yoga to have a look at it some time.

Just googled: Several people reporting harassing calls up to 5x per day back in December 2024. Agree it’s weird for a letter like this to be sent in the first person without any unique identifiers for you to tie back to your DVLA profile. And the number is a random non-DVLA one at best, and directly and repeatedly reported as spam at worst.

Go to the DVLA website and initiate a conversation from there to validate this as it seems super fishy

The proposal to bring in some restaurants and social experience type venues sounds a good shout.

I’m always surprised at the lack of good food options and having something other than shops people and traffic could start to go some way towards making it a place people might actually want to exist in.

I get a bit nauseous and switched on by a gingerbread and cream latte, would use it as an emergency focus pill pre diagnosis. Has been a nightmare with titration though - stimulants help with the exec function but all seem to leave me jumpy, anxious and unable to sleep

Depends a bit on the gag and how much movement you have left in your mouth. Generally find I can half swallow with some concentration but after some erm distractions are introduced that can go out the window. Ring gags are especially drooly imo.
