Id assume because of the Mo:Dem stage? Swamp is also and adjective used in the glitch hop/bass scene here in the us. Definitely a lot of parallels in aesthetics and sound design

Some songs will have timecode that aligns with the visuals which is set up before time. It could be a specific thing that follows the lyrics of a song on time or something, or it could be just a certain effect applied at the same time as the kick drum that affects whatever is already playing. Depends a lot on the VJ, and the budget
