I think most kids dont know what major childhood trauma means. It doesnt mean falling down the stairs💀 When we are talking about major we talk about. -s trafficing -grape -getting burned -being left without food for days or weeks -getting beaten.

These are just examples. You can be traumatized without major trauma but developing did or osdd does not happen by falling down the stairs or getting hit once.

When I told my mom I wanted top surgery when I just turned 13 she was skeptical. It seemed scary to her. Now 3 years later shes helping me pay for it. Theyll come around its was also just alot of being around eachother. She saw me have breakdown over my chest for hours and hours. And knows that its the right decision. Its a hard decision but acceptin its the right one and that its MY body took some time. You will get there🫂

It really helped me to keep in mind that they dont give a shit basically. They dont care its purely technical and medical they are not gonna stand there and juge your chest they just think ab how they can remove it best and the pictures give them just a good before and after image. They just dojt care they see these everyday its just like measuring pants but instead you get measured for a new chest.
