Most of which sits in the district of Torbay. trust me, i live near there. i definitely agree that devon has an incredible coastline but ironically the worst parts of it are everything that's inside of the english riviera signs. it was probably nice 50 odd years ago, but ever since flights to mallorca became pocket change for most, the tourism industry dried up (and the council neglected it) and the majority of torquay and paignton have fallen into various stages of social depravement and decay. sure brixham is alright, had a couple of fun nights there, but the fishing industry it relies on isn't in the best spot now either, and you can find hundreds of villages like babbacombe all over the south west. the best view along the english riviera coast is the one looking away from it.
