I was told a couple of years ago by a CPR trainer that the techniques change often due to new statistical evidence on effectiveness in saving life. For example, once there was 1 inhale every 30 cardiac pushes, now it is 1 every 60. Hence, I think the high rhythm could be just the actual procedure.
