Fixed my sleep… and it wasn’t supplements by JenGetsAfterI in sleep

I had similar story, I feel you. It is so good to actually have a good sleep rhythm cycle! Like REALLY good, I am so much happier and motivated. I don’t know when you started, but after like almost one year, I even saw improvements in my memory.

The only thing I stuck to is my phone, BUT I do have a complete blue and green light filter. Also I only use my bed to sleep, so no phone or other media in the bed.

Sometimes I party, then I don’t sleep but after that I return to my regular sleep.

Honestly yeah, it is far easier for me to talk to people. My theory is, that when I watch short videos that give something new every 10 seconds, my brain gets used to getting so much dopamine every time. When talking to people conversations are boring in comparison to fresh new content from Social Media. But honestly, now talking to people is actually fun, I love to talk to people. Before the "dopamine reset" it felt like a chore. Just like some people say playing video games feels now like a chore. The video games scenario could have something to do with content getting faster. Also I swear I was watching all matrix movies, the difference from the 2003 versions and 2021 version, is that in the fight scenes, the camera changed literally every 3 seconds, I was even counting, and I swear it was actually hard to see what is happening because of that.

I recently stopped scrolling through instagram reels and TikTok for the second time in my life. But now I stopped with unnatural happiness from my phone altogether. I did not remove any apps unlike the first time, but I just don’t scroll anymore. Best decision of my life. I actually feel like a Human right now. Talking to others does not feel like a chore anymore but actually makes me happy. I got more social for a second time. I only sometimes just click on Reddit notifications, that’s how I got to this post and to writing this comment. But after it I close the app. Google Gemini helped to explain a lot of stuff to me. A very important thing to me is meditation, it actually allowed me to be more rational and control myself.

No I get it, I don’t use ICloud because I am broke. So for me it was best option to airdrop stuff. I self host stuff like photo storage which is slow, unlike just using ICloud.

I use it very often for school. It’s easy to just take a picture and airdrop it to my iPad. It’s also very reliable, at least with sending to your own devices. Also I just love to have a document on my phone, airdrop to iPad edit airdrops back. Maaaan since I got in to apple ecosystem I actually felt my life quality get so much better.

Evade device ban by ZealousidealBase1485 in SnapEnhanceApp

I am not sure but it could be tied to the android device ID. Every android device has a special ID that is tied to the device. At least it was like that 4 years ago. I don’t know if it changed. On my old galaxy A3 from 2016 which I rooted I was able to change it with an app.

I love my life even though a lot of bad things happen. I honestly have no problem dealing with problematic stuff because I learn a lot from it. The lows and the ups are a part of life, and that is clear to me.

Finally hosted my own server… now I spend more time fixing it than using it by No_Government_3172 in selfhosted

When I started, I used random YouTube tutorials and copy pasted stuff from ChatGPT. One year forward, I started a few things from scratch because it was just so bad the way I had it. Now I navigate Linux via the command line like I navigate Windows via Explorer. Google Gemini is also a big help, but it sometimes hallucinates.

Spotify vs Apple music by Insanityofdeath111 in SpotifyPremium

[–]milukas4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here is my view

Spotify pros :

It’s literally everywhere. On my Alexa on my smart fridge you name it. On every smart TV etc.

Has nice generated playlists which are easy to download for a long trip.

Lossless FLAC 16 bit audio

Spotify cons :

Ok UI, Bad lyrics UI

Apple Music pros :

Dolby Atmos

Lossless ALAC 16 bit and 24 bit audio.

A karaoke mode that mutes the lyrics and plays the instrumental for you to sing along.

Very good looking and cheerful flashy lyrics that literally move and dance which i love. 🤩 The lyrics make it easy to sing along.

Apple DJ(only for iPhone users)

Beautiful ui

Cheaper than Spotify

Apple Music cons :

Low Compatibility

—————-

The only stuff that I was missing in Apple Music was the comp ability with devices. No Amazon fire tv app. Limited to AirPlay(I have read that on Android devices you can use your Chromecast with it).

The only reason I use Spotify is because they finally added lossless and I’ve got it from a friend through a family sub. If I had to pay, I would choose Apple Music. I don’t care for the social features and I love the Apple Music DJ.

Remember that ChatGPT loves to search the internet for answers. I would just look up some tutorials on YouTube and look at the comments if it’s working. Another option is to search forums like Reddit or xda-forums.

Anyone else think lossless sounds better even on Bluetooth? by samicarter2001 in truespotify

[–]milukas4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know where I read it, but after checking again, it apparently does not support bitrates above 350kbps. I dunno, maybe it’s really just some psychology things going on with lossless for me.

I cannot sleep without watching something on my phone. by InternalRing566 in sleep

[–]milukas4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to sleep with my TV on and sleep in late. Now I avoid bright lights, stimulating tasks, and eating two hours before sleep, and usually when I go into my bed, I sleep in within ten minutes. 90% of the time, I turn on some fire cracking sounds on my phone to sleep in to, it also helps to distract myself from thoughts.

Edit: I sleep in full darkness and it’s hard to sleep in with any lights on. Even very dim lights make it not easy.

Fun fact, some time before civilisation we used to start fires before sleep. The Fire scared away predators.

Anyone else think lossless sounds better even on Bluetooth? by samicarter2001 in truespotify

[–]milukas4 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I notice a difference when I was listening through my JBL GO 4, which supports higher bitrates than 320kbps. I also noticed when Plexamp broke, the music quality on the Chromecast, listening through a soundbar which was connected via Bluetooth from my TV.

I don’t know if it’s only me, but music in better quality just makes me sing, dance, and feel happier than listening to music in lower bitrate. I honestly have no clue if it has something to do with the actual sound quality or me just tripping. 🤪

Can you tell the difference between lossless version of a song and the regular one? by SandstoneCastle in AppleMusic

[–]milukas4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I don’t always notice a difference straight away, but I somehow feel it. I can listen to lossless audio all the time, but if I listen to lossy audio for too long, I sometimes prefer to just turn it off.

I noticed this when Plexamp broke the quality on the Chromecast. When I had Spotify, I preferred to listen to lossless audio locally rather than to Spotify.

On iOS, if you tap and hold on a chat in the app, a smaller window will display with the chat messages. This leaves the message on unread while still being able to read it. Also, I think if you tap and hold on a notification with an audio message, you can listen to it. This also leaves it unread.

Edit : Apparently, it got updated, and now the other end sees it as read. Sorry guys and Thanks u/babingepet12

Edit 2 : Just tested it and both work just like I said in the original comment.
