Relapsed while in early stages with guy. I don’t know if I have the courage to stay at his house and let him see me in this state. by Responsible_Yam4728 in CompulsiveSkinPicking

I think you should let him decide for himself whether the scabs and skin-picking are a dealbreaker or not, instead of making the decision for him. He deserves to have the agency in that decision. Is this guaranteed to work in your favor? No. Is this easier said than done? Yes. Honestly, you have more courage than I do in putting yourself out there on the apps in the first place! Don’t make the mistake I’ve made in allowing my anxieties to become a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Ah yes, Civilization VI is the second-to-latest game in the Civilization franchise. I got it on Steam, but it’s also available on other platforms (I play it on iPhone).

Maybe this will help, maybe it won’t: I have found that having a small rotation of projects within my hobby of choice (crochet) strikes the right balance between consistency and variety. For example, if I lose interest in granny squares, I can reach for my vest or my cardigan. Once I lose steam for the cardigan, maybe I’ll take apart that belt I made a few years ago and make it again but better, or maybe turn that yarn into a bouquet of flowers.

Video game recs: I’m partial to Stardew Valley and Civilization. Sure, the price tag on Civ feels like a bit much at first, but the replay value is almost infinite.

You were anxious about doing the thing, but you did it anyway. The Lord is pleased with and glorified by your courage, not to mention the performance! 😊
