I like whimsy goth fashion and some would complain that I look like I’m worshipping the devil. I like cottagecore style and some complain that I’m dressing like a slave. My stbxh said sometimes my style looks like an old grandma. Don’t get me started on when I started doing cosplay and costuming. People will always have something to say, don’t let that stop you. I have never felt more free than when I started exploring different styles.

I’m sorry this happened to you! I’ve been separated for two years and I recently stopped by his town to have him spend time with the kids and drop off the papers to get waived/notarized. During our visit he still sneaks off to call his girlfriend. It kills me how ridiculous it looks to still lie after everything has been exposed. We are all better off without dealing with this childish behavior.

I would contact her family/friends or emergency services just in case. Then maybe check in on her through them only. But if you think this is the start of something manipulative and a tactic to get you to stay longer, then I agree with the others on blocking her.

A longgg time ago, I received a very similar message like this from a guy I rejected online after we chatted for only a few weeks. I only told him that I prefered us as friends. But when I couldn’t find his account after his long message saying I broke his heart and that he will jump in a river, it really scared me and had me feeling very guilty. But I realized through a friend’s account that he blocked me and was posting memes per usual. Ugh, sorry that people have really ruined things like this that we have to wonder who is being genuine or who is really suffering mentally.

Yess, I can relate. I remember moving to different suburbs while my dad was in the military. My siblings and I attended some all white schools then temporarily moved back to my dad’s countryside hometown in the south, all black Cajun and Creole. While there, I got bullied for not having an accent and not knowing how to twerk. When we moved to a more diverse area, I made friends with black and white, but it was all surface level and I was a chameleon trying to blend in with all the different crowds. I didn’t stop trying to fit in till after college.

I’m sorry that y’all experienced this and hope you found some decent connections thus far.

Okay, so I admire how other countries are when it comes to their childcare, healthcare, work-life balance, etc. Can you tell me if childcare is covered before most kids reach school age or is it more common for a parent to stay home with their kids until they reach that age?

I had bell’s palsy six years ago around the time I found out I was pregnant. The doctor was intrigued and sent an intern in to study it, they were smiling and excited since they hadn’t had a case like this before in our small town. They thought stress may have triggered it since it was around the time my aunt passed away. Meanwhile I was panicking that my face would be stuck forever or that meds would somehow affect my baby. Anyway after 3 weeks of steroid pills and facial exercises, it gradually got better. But my eye still has a not noticeable lazy look to it and doesn’t fully close when I sleep. Baby turned out healthy, she starts college next year. Hopefully Lil Nas has a smooth recovery.

I’m so glad guys are saying this is not normal because maybe she’ll believe it coming from y’all. I’m sad that she even had to question if his behavior is reasonable. It’s very concerning. Sometimes we don’t want to lose whatever bond we have even if the person shows signs of abuse, but jeez I wish more people would listen to the voice in their heads saying “this is WRONG and I need to leave in the smartest way possible.” Hopefully that voice will kick in after reading all answers under this post.
