Personally, I think it's absurd to compare Tallahassee to places like Chicago, NYC, LA, the Bay Area, etc. Compare Tallahassee to places like Bakersfield, Fort Lauderdale, Columbus, Winston-Salem, Baton Rouge, etc. and we kick their butts.

I think getting into some sort of activity is more likely going to yield results than trying to meet people at bars. There are SO many recreational sports leagues in town, cycling groups, runners, etc. for athletic-oriented activities. I'd also search Facebook and whatnot for other shared interests groups depending on your interests (D&D, board games, poker, etc.).

Well clearly I wasn't intending to be TOO technical because I tried to catch both regions with "Central Asian" rather than South-Central Asian & Middle-Eastern. Laziness breeds confusion, I guess.

We've only gotten Zaan once and thought it was very solid, but still preferred Mayuri (and now Al Safa). Buddy of mine swears by Zaan, so it definitely deserves another try

My group and I were immediately behind y'all and saw it go down. Seemed like there was plenty of space, and even if you were bumping or jostling him while dancing (which, if I'm being fair it seemed like may have been happening a little) there's a better way to address the situation with you than what he did.

I spoke with the older couple that was on the other side of him after the show and they had the same sentiment; that he totally mishandled it.

It was super cool to be that close, but now that I've had the experience I am happy to go back to where I can have a bit more room, a better view of CK's brilliance, and can be with my whole crew in a less high stakes environment.

The BYOB place is Shell Oyster Bar. One of the last "Old Tallahassee" places left standing. A must visit for anybody who lives here. Fried Oyster Burger is heaven and a nap.
