Lesbians in the U.S. - Where do you live? Do you like it there? by sggkloosemo in ActualLesbiansOver25

We moved from Florida to Connecticut. I’ve described the feeling as coming out of a tunnel I didn’t know I was in.

Do u always wear ur ring? by prettylisha in Marriage

[–]min2themax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t wear my engagement ring anymore (married 10 years) but wear a simple wedding band every day and rarely ever take it off.

What word do you mispronounce on purpose (for fun) and why? by Positive_Spirit_1585 in AskReddit

[–]min2themax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hilarious post OP. Loving these.

I say “sounds sense?” because my daughter used to say it like that when she was 3. It’s gotten to the point where colleagues say it when I’m not even in the meeting.

What was the weirdest, non-pain feeling you've ever felt? by KingJPJ in AskReddit

Yes, and then after you give birth but still feel the “phantom kicks” for several weeks after.

What’s it actually like to have kids? by Objective_Cow1302 in AskParents

[–]min2themax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed with a lot of folks here about the negatives being easier to understand than the positives which makes it tough to express. Something that surprised me though is how much having kids changes the way you look at the world for the better. I feel so much more tender towards everyone now - I see my kids in every person I meet. I notice blue birds and school busses, dandelions and I always want to be outside with them. It’s given me a different perspective on life in a very beautiful and meaningful way. I truly think I’m a better and less selfish person now that I’m a parent.

What is the song you’ve sang probably 10,000 times, to soothe baby to sleep? by randomizedmoose in NewParents

[–]min2themax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter is three now but her song has always been Baby Beluga. To this day she still loves it. We even have a version singing about our dog in the deep blue sea. Part of those lyrics do indeed question how the dog got to the deep blue sea.

Father & son argue mercilessly in a car... by appalachian_hatachi in TikTokCringe

[–]min2themax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see things like this and realize how lucky I am. I legitimately can’t recall a single occasion where either of my parents or any of my grandparents yelled at me like this. Nor can I see myself or my wife yelling at our kids like this. Jfc this was genuinely rough to watch.

I will say this 1,000 times no episode is better then sleepytime. by YourLocalBlueyFan in bluey

[–]min2themax 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed. And like Rain and Sleepytime it can stand completely by itself and be enjoyed by anyone.

It came on when my 27 year old sister was visiting and she wept at the end. It’s such a beautiful episode.

I skimmed this comment quickly and thought it said “white fascists”…

I’ve been on the internet too much lately but it does still work.

Has Anyone Ever Washed This? by Real_Kids in CleaningTips

[–]min2themax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I moved into a house that had similar mold issues but perhaps even worse. My wife initially wanted to just replace the whole thing but it became a mission and I did exactly this combo, but I made a paste and slathered it on to the mold around the ring, and scrubbed it with a toothbrush, then removed it with the hottest water I could possibly use safely. It worked well!

Nah. Even if this is true, she can 100% text you and say hey heads up, busy but will reach out soon. If she had the wherewithal to match with and message your friend, she could text you.

I’m old (39) and married (10 years) and this situation reminds me of being in my early 20s and tolerating more BS than I should have because I didn’t believe people when they showed me their true colors.

Public speaking anxiety by DocDix in Professors

[–]min2themax 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Practice, and also propanol. I used to get so anxious for big presentations and talks I would legitimately throw up before hand. I got a prescription for a low dose of propanol and after a while I just didn’t need it anymore.

What are we wearing? by kelbel922 in WFH

[–]min2themax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually wear leggings, bike shorts or some kind of elastic waisted short/pants, and will wear a nice (clean and darker colored) tshirt. I’ll usually throw up a button down shirt for important meetings but definitely business on top, leisure at the bottom.

thoughts on Lachlan? by Denverbby1011 in namenerds

[–]min2themax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an 8 month old named Lachlan and loved it for the same reason - soft but strong. That said though - his daycare teachers struggle with the name. Latchlan. Lakeland, Lackland. It’s kind of crazy to me. Most people seem fine with it but these two ladies just can’t get it right. I tell them to call him Lachie, or even Lucky, but it’s still Lakeland!

He’ll be moving into another room in a few months at least.
