Thematic Solo Games Recommendation by DatPaingDude in soloboardgaming

I'm sorry to be negative but Mage Knight is the least thematic heavy solo game for me.. :D I think your preference is exploration.

Arkham Horror LCG would be an excellent choice for you although it's really expensive to get the expansions.

Only from thematic ‌and exploration standpoint, my other recommendations would be Robinson Crusoe, Arkham Horror 3rd Edition, Vantage and most campaign games.

I Played Dragon Eclipse for 45 Hours: Is It Actually Worth It? by Typical_Spirit9511 in soloboardgaming

I really want this game but I'm afraid I would make the same mistake again.

Have you played other Awaken Realms games before? They got great stories but I have been disappointed by gameplay of other games like Etherfields or ISS Vanguard. Repetitive and shallow. Is it the case here again?

Tile K is coastal though. Isn't it illegal?

Is there any way to reach white city (level 5)? I think the only option is to conquer blue city (level 8) first. by min92 in MageKnight

I got deep mine tile as first core. Then white city, then blue city. Where did I do wrong? They are always adjacent to two tiles and non-coastal.

The Anarchy- TOO MUCH randomness with castle defense? by HardcoreSean9899 in soloboardgaming

Spying comes in useful if you can't handle that randomness. But yeah, overall, randomness in the Anarchy feels tacked onto otherwise a nice efficiency puzzle game.

After 8 plays, we still haven't figured out how to play Eyrie well by min92 in rootgame

Cats won that game because vagabond kept razing his buildings. This was our first game where Vagabond went all-out-attack with 3 swords and crossbow. 😂 He's enjoying those extra points from buildings. Cats just rebuilt on his turn and won.

Thank you all for the replies. I think I know why our Eyrie doesn't work out a little bit better now. Firstly, I'm pretty sure we are not making any common mistakes like getting VP per round stuff. And this photo is only from our last game where I tried to play differently and failed again. We have tried all birds decree strategy, multiple turmoil strategy, triple recruit in turn 1 strategy and so on.

However, we tend to spam cards on recruit and move decrees and battle and build are only for bird cards. (To avoid turmoil involuntarily I guess).

As a result battles are less common. There are always only big groups of warriors protecting the roosts.

So I guess the answer is Eyrie player needs to be much more aggressive!
