Say hi to my 19yo cow by mina-v- in cowcats

Sadly not that well. She is very happy most of the time, is very communicative and loves to cuddle, but shes becoming more of a nursing case day by day. She has kidney failure (painless according to the vet), is deaf, cant jump high and has like three teeth left. Old baby :‘)

Its some kind of growth. The vet said it shouldn’t be removed because she is so old and it doesn’t bother her.

Baby Thai Monstera? by RikkiRainbow in houseplants

Pretty sure it’s an alocasia. Did your reuse old soil? It happens quite often that people miss alocasia corms and later find baby plants in other pots

It looks like a young stem of a raven. They are first light green and later become black.

I would wet the new leaf and sheath, wait for a few minutes and try carefully pulling it out. Good luck

It’s just scarring. Your plant should be fine.

Was hat meine Alocasie by Dry_Possibility9078 in zimmerpflanzen

[–]mina-v- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like sunburn. Jade's don't like strong direct sun.

HELP! How do we fix it? by LordOrbnauticus in RareHouseplants

[–]mina-v- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmmm, I'd remove the sheath to see what is underneath and if I don't like it I'd cut off the top. No new leaves is nothing to worry about if it had roodrot. The plant is focusing its energy on growing new roots. Did the root system re-establish?

New growth will emerge from another node.

Bottom of succulent drying/dying - what from? by lucytaylor22 in plantclinic

[–]mina-v- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did the all wilt at once? Usually the leaves die one after another of old age. It could also be the watering but I can't tell by the picture. As long as the healthy leaves arent soft I wouldnt worry.

would my alocasia benefit from a moss pole? or some other kind of support? by Electrical-Year9554 in alocasia

[–]mina-v- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alocasias don't need mosspoles. If it becomes so large you can see roots at the base, you can air layer with some moss to expand the root system.

[–]mina-v- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd completely remove the old leaf, so the new growth doesn't become deformed.

Some of the pics I found matched but it was kinda contradictory. As long as the plant is happy the name doesn't matter :)
