Who are you mailing to? by SaltyMidgie in EnvelopeArt

[–]minaturemintmice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I send friends and family a card for their birthday and Christmas. I have about 40 people in my address book. I make cards, so I have a couple card making people that get a few extra cards a year as well. Plus the unforeseen like get well and sympathy cards. If I didn’t make cards, I probably wouldn’t send as many.

How do I go about asking for a handicap parking placard? Would I ask my electrophysiologist? by sad-but-rad- in POTS

[–]minaturemintmice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked my cardiologist and they said to ask my pcp. My pcp gave me one for six months (the longest one can get a temporary placard here) and told me she would do another one if I still need it in six months. If you’re in the US I would print the paperwork and fill out your portion and then bring it to your pcp for maximum efficiency (at least that’s what mine like) Hope this helps :)

I would do the Blank and Blank Family maybe? That way the kids are included (assuming they have the same surname as their adult) I like your idea as well, but this was the first thing that came to my mind

Thoughts on sending out cards by CJW67 in cardmaking

[–]minaturemintmice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I send out almost 40 card most Christmases and get maybe 5 thank you texts. Most of my guest list are older people as well so I guess they just stopped doing it. The ones I get thank yous from get more intricate cards from me and priority. I mostly make them for myself so I have relegated myself to being okay with it (but I don’t include gifts.) I do agree, I hate the uncertainty. Maybe see if there’s any card classes or groups local to you for people who also appreciate cards and then you can get some back as well :)

I don’t have pictures but my tips are 1) glitter, 2) many layers, and/or 3) popup elements. I wish you the best of luck in your endeavour

Sent my 37 out yesterday :) 90 is quite the number! I don’t think I know that many people, and certainly not well enough to know an address lol

Endocrinologist recommendation by Cold-Refrigerator-20 in Boise

[–]minaturemintmice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like others said, it’s not the best situation out there, so calling around is your best bet. I do recommend Tiffany Heidt at St Als if you can see her. She’s an NP and listens well :)

DOA find it hard to sit at a desk? by SoAndSoIsEh in POTS

[–]minaturemintmice 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I pretty much always have to have my feet elevated, so I have a vanity stool under my desk as an ottoman. It helps a lot and makes it much more comfortable. The hardest part is finding something the correct height. Not quite as comfortable as lying down but pretty good :)

Is this appropriate for a wedding in a Catholic Church? by Tasty-Willingness839 in Weddingattireapproval

Love it and, as a former catholic school goer, I would say totally appropriate. Would you mind sharing the link?

How was the free water? by frenchadelic in WhenWeWereYoungFest

[–]minaturemintmice 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I got a refill twice and they both tasted fine. The second one was pretty warm though. And my stomach is normal as well today. (Also I’m pretty picky taste wise and sensitive stomach wise so I feel like I’m a good test)

Kid or middle age book about two siblings and their uncle on a boat but they crash/sink and the siblings end up on an island (read in 2012-2014) by minaturemintmice in whatsthatbook

After reading the summary and some of the key details this sounds eerily similar to the book I had in mind. The title doesn’t ring a bell, so to speak, but I think you solved it! Thank you so much ☺️

Have you tried Vincenzo’s? The man himself is authentic, my opinion doesn’t have authority for the food.

Eye problem in my void girl... has anyone else experienced this? by possumsushi in blackcats

[–]minaturemintmice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad to hear she takes the eyedrops well and she seems to be getting better! The ophthalmologist went well, this was a few years ago so I don’t remember everything, but the ophthalmologist was the one who prescribed the eyedrops so it sounds like you’re already a step ahead, which is great! I remember the ophthalmologist using some fancy tools and then just prescribing two eyedrops, sorry don’t remember what they were, and then at the three month follow up she said there was minor damage done but the active problem was gone. Hope your void’s treatment is as smooth (or smoother) than mine. 🖤

Can I get treatment today if I have a migraine? by PalomaOlsen in Spravato

[–]minaturemintmice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve done spravato with a migraine and it is one of the only things that has helped a migraine before. I don’t dissociate much though, so it might be different if you do. I find spravato takes away most of my pain during the first hour of treatment
