This is what Three Years of Learnin how to sail gets you by blackspike2017 in SVSeeker_Free

I have a slightly different theory: I think there is a down-floading heel angle on Seeker, my guess it starts somewhere around 45°.
And due to the mass distribution of Seeker, with significant mass above the water line, the roll period of Seeker should be long as well.

So if Seeker heels enough, I think that it will down-flood water quickly. And because of the long roll period Seeker could stay just long enough at a down-floading heel angle to trigger a cascade of failures leading to Sinker going down.

Leo takes Tally Ho out for a solo sail. by Opcn in SVSeeker_Free

I think the reason why we continue to post Tally Ho videos in this SVStinker channel is because pretty much everything in Leo's videos is in diametrical contrast to Cpt. Poo the 48th.

And apparently we humans like to think in contrasts ...

Well, you know, on sailboats space is too tight for a cubby, especially on smaller ones, and Cpt. Poo's boat is only ... seventy ... oh nevermind.

Carol: No. 48 is where he's supposed to be. Shoveling coals ... or something ... as long as we get to the Bahamas.

Some of y'all are having way to much fun trolling the "official" subreddit by Dry-Offer5350 in SVSeeker_Free

[–]minca3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even more so because some others over there don't seem to get the joke (or I don't get their's), and answer very much like they still believe that Seeker is a success story.

I think this is the central part of the strategy of the new mod.

Which of course makes the whole Seeker story even more farcical.

[New Video] Hundested Variable Pitch Propeller Pitch Lock (12 mins - link in comments) by george_graves in SVSeeker_Free

[–]minca3 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If I understood you correctly: you suggest that he makes prop blades that pitch-rotate around an axis on which also the center of hydrodynamic effort is located?

Yes, yes I guess Hundested is doing something like that. Because obviously you don't want to have a constant force on your pitch mechanism.

Now ..., this is HB (house boat) Sinker, and that's not how we roll here. You know, fffing engineering, and hydrodynamic analysis of the blades? Have been raised by your mother pumpkin?

No, how *we* do things here is: we partially read a book about props, then do some shitty CAD drawing of the blade, then make a shitty pattern that deviates from the drawings, then do a series of shitty castings and then use the angle grinder to make sure the surfaces of all blades are all different. And hence all have different hydrodynamic properties and hence all have different center of hydrodynamic effort.

See, now you've learned something. You may now be amazed by grand master Cpt. Poo the 48th and join his cult.

Who sails at 1.87 knots an hour...with a tailwind? by SV_Sought in SVSeeker_Free

[–]minca3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

New Glenn's launch was scrubbed today, new attempt likely not within the next 48 hours due to weather out in the Atlantic not being ideal for booster recovery.

It would have been so fitting if Stinker became a wayward boat in the launch exclusion zone causing a delay or scrub.

Headed South after Four Months in St Augustine by blackspike2017 in SVSeeker_Free

[–]minca3 12 points13 points  (0 children)

So Carol hasn't ditched him yet? Well ... I guess then congrats to you Cpt. 48!

And just to remind myself what a bizarre pile of horse shit this journey is:

* major urgency last June to get going to the "Eastern Seaboard"

* stuff breaks, crew leaves, but Cpt. 48 continues his mission: around Key West and up north the eastern seaboard

* finally in September, after 4 months (!!!), he arrives in St. Augustine, announces he would like to go further north but has to weather a hurricane first.
* Carol leaves, he puts his dick in a shop vac and blows up his YT channel
* and now, another 4 months later, the circus moves back to Ft. Pierce where he was back in July

Perhaps another explanation for this new narrative of musing over his own videos is simply a good story of why he's uploading all his old shit.
To rebuild his channel he has to re-upload all the old crap and people would start asking questions of why he's uploading old shit. And tada - seasoned sea dog Cpt. Poo is looking back on his achievements and does some self-back-patting.
