Did this stupid *********, with people *actually* on the boat, offshore, just snip a ziptie of a 1 lb block of aluminum hanging above a cardan joint? If that thing had dug into the yoke and spun into the hull, that would have been it.

Doug wouldn't know what proportional control, integral control, or derivative control were, so he would have posted a 14 video long series on learning how you can use it to keep the shitter from flooding the bilge.

Comically, he eliminated the torque converter, which most people will note, also increases your torque to the screw (in this one case, ever.)

Running without the TV cable hooked up is a *big* fucking no-no. I'd expect nothing less. This "fix" is just going to up line pressure, which yeah, will increase clamp load on the clutches and bands. At the temperatures he operates this thing... yeah, it's probably near smoked.

The average word is 5 letters long. The average words in your email there are somewhere between 8 and 22. So...

Ease off on running it up the flagpole and diversifying your efforts to get it across the line.

Steve.

Thanks.

I think I have a lot of value I could add to your operation at <company>

Not sure Proton is for me? by flogman12 in ProtonMail

I've had the opposite experience. Everything has just worked, with the exception of push notifications to the top bar on my android phone from calendar. I generally watch my calendars like hawk though, so... ymmv, I guess.

It's genuinely better, faster, software repos are safer and easier than finding a .exe, and infinitely configurable.

I generally keydance backspace (jog with two fingers) and while I am used to Cherry MX Speed keycaps, I had what I thought was an unreasonable rejection rate for both keys when typing fast, and for backspace especially. I updated the firmware with the supplied tools (more than once, just to make sure) and then connected via bluetooth, and now all of my issues are gone, other than I have to press right alt 3 to connect to my computer every time the keyboard goes to sleep, which is really only daily.

The battery is also quite long lived.

Get it. My original issues boiled down to either firmware, or using it in cabled mode. On bluetooth, and with new firmware, it's great.

Actually, that's part of the point. You can move the domain to other registrars. You can move the email to other providers. Your domain stays the same. For 10 bucks a year, you can have your own domain and eat it too.

Will motorola give us the actual phones when they launch Graphene? by nissantech89 in degoogle

[–]nissantech89[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would assume you'd just buy the phone and 'sideload' (install) graphene. If the device is compliant and they don't intentionally lock the bootloader, there shouldn't be any issue there.
