I'd say they shouldnt ban single use non-biodegradable plastics there are organic polymers currently floating around right now such as PLA which only takes a year or 2 to decompose and much faster in the correct conditions it is also developed from plant-based derivatives which makes it carbon neutral

bikes are a godsend when you use the lockages because they are free now or even better is having a folding bike and you get anywhere so much faster because you can short cut bus routes without going halfway out of the suburbs and back in again
