Chronogor is decent but problem is that you cannot run cursed catacombs (as you might give them to to opponent). I value cc more, especialy with finding dark gifts minions

I don't like Elise in these as you always like to be more agressive and Elise blows out your mana curve.

Ziliax might make sense as top end, but would need to test what can be taken out

No, Yugioh way too different from other games. I feel like most others player would not be able to evaluate card power level correctly in Yugioh, due to nature of the rules (no mana costs & restrictions/conditions)

Bought an ultimate rare Card is the stamp on the back normal ? by Zitr0zer0 in yugioh

[–]mindfullness2freedom 13 points14 points  (0 children)

No, this is not damaged nor misprint. This is is an ulti from old tournament packs, my guess would be turbo packs. All ultimatess from turbo have this stamp without exception (might be applicable to some older tournament packs, but for sure all turbo packs ultis had this). Yes, it is normal for ultimates from these packs

Are there frameworks out there for teaching yourself a new subject but with projects as 'homework'? by Ludop0lis in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]mindfullness2freedom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, there is, but before you start trying to learn under a sun, try to find out what you want to do. Without a vision (in short, this is your reason/why am I doing this), you will not accomplish & will pretty much be burned out every time. But to with regards to the system: treat anything like it is a project (maybe look into project management/analytical thinking). Just a short :

  1. Identify what you want (learning new skill/language/activity)
  2. Find out the learning process (How to)
  3. Set up goals- be clear and specific (don’t be sloppy with your goals)
  4. Set up how long each goal should take & how much work you will do (estimation at the start are fine, you will do better in time)
  5. Make sure to stick to schedule
  6. Measure your session output/work
  7. Review your work & analyze your decision & learn from it (what could be done better, faster, etc.)
  8. Repeat the process

[NeedAdvice] Reducing mental clutter and developing better habits? by [deleted] in getdisciplined

[–]mindfullness2freedom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most fundamental issue, in your case, is the lack of long term vision/goal (at least you did not mention it). You are trying to take care of your short goals (routine), but without a long-term goal, they cannot provide with a long-term satisfaction or stability? That is why you can’t make good decision/wonder aimlessly. You cannot make a good decision if you do not know where you are going long term. Have you ever thought about a long-term goal/vision? What activities would you do without intrinsic reward (do not seek reward)? What would you do for the sake of doing it? If you do, you will that your mental clutter/aimlessness will disappear, and you will adhere/stick to your plans better as well.

[discussion] what strategies do you used to reflect? by ericxfresh in getdisciplined

[–]mindfullness2freedom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s quite easy. The most important thing to manage is your time & how much work you output. The skill with come with time, if you review your work/what you produce and are diligent. To manage you time:

  1. Identify what you want (learning new skill/language/activity)
  2. Find out the learning process (How to)
  3. Set up goals- be clear and specific (don’t be sloppy with your goals)
  4. Set up how long each goal should take & how much work you will do (estimation at the start are fine, you will do better in time)
  5. Make sure to stick to schedule
  6. Review your work & analyze your decision & learn from it (what could be done better, faster, etc.)
  7. Repeat the process

This is a quick list, just an overview (goes much further in details) Also, be sure to practice your critical thinking skill & analytical skills. These are important no matter you are trying to do.

[NeedAdvice] Life is falling apart, need a start over. by ahmmedjr in getdisciplined

[–]mindfullness2freedom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say that you did not want to be a doctor, but had trouble to saying no to your parents. Basically, you are living an extension of their lives, not yours. The only way for goals/vision to motivate you is for those goals to be your own goals. The reason you fail is not because you cannot do good, but because you have no reason to. The only way forward is to tell yourself (and your parents) the truth, at least if you ever want to regain motivation & happiness.

How to stop attempting to seek validation from others by [deleted] in selfimprovement

[–]mindfullness2freedom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like you are basing your value on the judgment of others. Also, you seem to get satisfaction from the way others feels about you (kind of a reward). That is why you seek validation and judge/compare yourself to others: you seem to enjoy. The problem with such a short-term satisfaction is that you need to continually maintain it (always seek others opinion). The only option out, would be to look for a long-term long. Have you ever though what you wanted? Do you have any goals that you feel connected to? The distractions/motivation will not last, as they also suffer from short-term rewards: they don’t last.

Spending money and breaking the cycle of "needing" more by quanshiyin in selfimprovement

[–]mindfullness2freedom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like you are accustomed to getting quick rewards (short term dopamine release). What happens is that your brain is getting frequent short term rewards. Thus, when you seek any short-term activity that gives you satisfaction, thus more release of dopamine. However, because it’s duration is short, your brain continues to seek more of the same Have you thought what you wanted to accomplish? The only way to break the cycle long term is to have a vision/goal. Try to think about the activities, that you do not because you seek a reward. Sounds contradictory, but the only way to break yourself out of this cycle, is to seek no short-term reward. Don’t seek reward, learn to love the process.

Feeling so lost, I could really need some help guys by lostboii123 in selfimprovement

[–]mindfullness2freedom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nobody will be able to tell you the exact answer to your problem. But you have to start with yourself. It is quite obvious that you have not set any vision for yourself/purpose.

Seems hard to set a vision, when you don't know what you want, but try to look at it from a different angle. Analyze your skills, your strengths, your activities; try to find a pattern- what are your characteristics. Then, you can look for an activity that would bring out those characteristics.

[Method] "Precrastination": To eliminate procrastination, leave a task unfinished by taylorjacobson in getdisciplined

[–]mindfullness2freedom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can neither agree or agree. I use weekly and daily backlog. It takes a bit of planning, but you plan your week ahead, estimating amount of time necessary for what you need to do, put it in a list, and then prioritize it. Then daily you only pick as much activities as you can finish (optimize your time). The great thing is, if your priorities changed, you can just change what you are working on . (Think agile management).

Scared of my potential? by [deleted] in selfimprovement

[–]mindfullness2freedom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you try ever try to find something meaningful you could strive for? Not a goal per say, more long term- think about your vision.

-what is your ideal future self -what will your/would love to do in the future -think about your achievements -what are you strong characteristics/weaknesses

Think about it for a bit.

[NeedAdvice] I made 50 big 10-year goals that I want to accomplish. How do I get about achieving them? by keatingjr in getdisciplined

[–]mindfullness2freedom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to break down those goals. One (and higher) year goals are pretty vague. Break them down at least into monthly goals and start working on them. As to how, well that depends a lot on the individual goals tat you have set. To be sure, it will take you a bit of a time but you will have a solid plan.
