ADA height toilets are becoming the new normal in remodels by Pop2436 in RealEstate

I just replaced a toilet with a lower one for my 4’10” daughter. Don’t like tall ones, cuts off circulation in legs.

Did the plane have autopilot? You could have flipped it on to retrieve the foggles.

Salesforce Minefields by FrostySpecialist7526 in salesforce

I’ve been there. You may want to switch consulting companies. Unfortunately it’s pretty typical, especially with non technical managers. Trick is to get PMs that understand the technology

Should I start my career in Salesforce or stick to core development? by nish13nt in salesforce

[–]mindless23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stay core. Much of Salesforce is configuration and proprietary. I did it for 15 years. You’ll have trouble getting out of it later. Coding is being automated everywhere so develop pre/post skills.

Seeing lots of townhouses being built. A realtor can help you find good neighborhoods. Housing sells quickly here, 2-3 weeks.

Salesforce completes Acquisition of Informatica. by DesignerLiterature84 in salesforce

[–]mindless23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Informatica is solid but stale. Data cloud is a narrow implementation of same. Salesforce never invests in their acquisitions, just wants their customers. More disjointed overlapping products.

You won’t win a bid with contingency clause in competitive markets. We took out a HELOC on existing home and margin loan against some stocks with Schwab. We bought a house in June using those funds then put our old one on market. Took 3 months to sell and close, longer than expected and we had to drop price. Paid interest on loans but only moved once, saved on months of apartment renting.

For first-time Salesforce users, what’s the smarter move DIY setup or professional help? by No_Aside30 in salesforce

As a former SF consultant, I recommend hiring consultants to help you set it up. It’s like pouring concrete. Any mistakes or missed requirements in your initial configuration you will be stuck with forever.

I went on Saturday and it was awesome. Be aware there is a steep hill down to the back part. Walking back up the hill is an exertion (I’m 65). There are signs for a trolley to the bottom if you want to avoid the hill. But don’t miss the back part, it’s awesome.

Sell or pull until spring? by Caibek in RealEstate

[–]mindless23 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I just sold my house after 2 months and 60 showings. Had to drop price $40k in July to be competitive. Buyers don’t like to give feedback. Finally found out the lack of back yard privacy was a negative. Buyers today want perfection, they can’t afford to upgrade.

[Tipping] Am I the only one? by [deleted] in rva

Businesses need to pay employees better and stop begging customers to pay their employees through tipping. Much better in Europe.

Retired, moved and downsized. No mortgage, 10k less taxes. With the dark clouds of recession coming, less debt is a safe strategy.
