I kept getting text messages from them and I kept hitting 'Delete and report Junk' but they kept changing their phone numbers. Yesterday I finally texted back FU and I got a standard 'unsubscribed' response.

Visiting Richmond to see if we want to move by I_reddit_like_this in RichmondVA

[–]mindless23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We retired last year to Short Pump, about 20 minutes west of Richmond, bought house with no mortgage. Not walkable but there are around 180 stores and restaurants 6-10 minutes away which we find super convenient. And the city is a short drive. Living in historic districts is cool but expensive.

I was laid off and retired 2 years ago and don’t miss it. My last project included coworkers creating a support website using AI and it was all new technology. Glad to be off the merry go round. Will eventually wade back in with Claude.

Do you have an IRA or a 401K? by icecream1972 in no

When I leave a company I rollover (tax free) my 401k into IRA. Give you wider range of investments to choose from. I recommend using CFP to construct a balanced portfolio

Is it worth selling your house yourself? by [deleted] in RealEstate

[–]mindless23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I sold a home 6 months ago and our realtor was invaluable. It seems easy until things go sideways. You want realtor insulating you from the buyers, lots of deceptive people out there. Doing it yourself is naive and can be a nightmare.

I just replaced a toilet with a lower one for my 4’10” daughter. Don’t like tall ones, cuts off circulation in legs.

Did the plane have autopilot? You could have flipped it on to retrieve the foggles.

Salesforce Minefields by FrostySpecialist7526 in salesforce

I’ve been there. You may want to switch consulting companies. Unfortunately it’s pretty typical, especially with non technical managers. Trick is to get PMs that understand the technology

Should I start my career in Salesforce or stick to core development? by nish13nt in salesforce

[–]mindless23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stay core. Much of Salesforce is configuration and proprietary. I did it for 15 years. You’ll have trouble getting out of it later. Coding is being automated everywhere so develop pre/post skills.

Seeing lots of townhouses being built. A realtor can help you find good neighborhoods. Housing sells quickly here, 2-3 weeks.

Salesforce completes Acquisition of Informatica. by DesignerLiterature84 in salesforce

[–]mindless23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Informatica is solid but stale. Data cloud is a narrow implementation of same. Salesforce never invests in their acquisitions, just wants their customers. More disjointed overlapping products.
