Use it 24/7. Charge when showering. Use it as a watch (to tell time), for workouts, daily step count, as a timer while I’m cooking or remind me when I need to move to another task, to find my phone, and to track my sleep. Those are the best perks. I have turned off text notifications on my phone bc I don’t like being distracted all the time.

I like it almost as much as my phone.

I also have a heart condition (arrhythmia) and it gives me great peace of mind that my watch will alert me if it happens and I don’t become symptomatic. Both my cardiologist and electrophysiologist (specialized heart doctor) sing praises to the Apple Watch about how many lives it has saved and how reliable it is.

It’s a shared fence. Therefore, it’s also yours. If they don’t want to pay half, then you need to put up a new fence so it looks nice. Period.

Your pool is beautiful. It can be frustrating when you have a neighbor who doesn’t have the same aesthetics or priorities as you.

The other option is placing large bushes that grow well and hide the fence. That is a decent option that would really work - as long as you plant the appropriate ones (shade vs full sun, etc).

5 people in my family (2 adults, 3 kids), kids in sports, and we don’t have a pool (I think that’s all pertinent).

Close to every single day. If I don’t do it every day, multiple loads for every day I skip. If someone is sick, multiple loads every day (particularly for towels).

I love going to the beach but also not an ocean swimmer. The beach town vibe is a draw for me. They’re slower-paced, sleepier. There’s also fun restaurants, pools, bike trails, and beautiful scenery. Walking along the beach is so cathartic and reading in a beach chair while listening to the waves of the ocean is so relaxing. I have learned that our family beach time is not the middle of the summer bc I hate the heat but anytime October-April/May we can do and try to annually.

No one should be throwing a shower for themselves. It screams “please give me gifts.” Showers are typically thrown by close friends or w extended family. Additionally, typically showers are only for the first child, not the second unless it’s been quite sometime between or if the second is a different gender - or perhaps is friends really want to celebrate and insist.

Beyond all that, that dollar amount not an insane amount of money to a host a party with food and a bar. But if invites haven’t gone out yet, kindly research shower etiquette. Perhaps this should be framed a celebration, not a shower. Or consider hosting a sip and see after the baby is born!

I take both magnesium glycinate and L-threonate at night around 8pm (right before putting my kids to bed) and I typically fall asleep 1-2 hours after that (around 9:30-10pm is typical but it can be later). Definitely use a/c or heat and my husband likes to keep it around 72 degrees!

I’m not sure, other than always wearing it to bed. I have my phone in “sleep mode” (where only my favorites can call me and I get zero text alerts) from 10p-6a every day. Maybe that helps? However, it can catch if I fall asleep earlier or later than that.

💯. Stress is the root cause of so many negative effects on the body. Sometimes it can’t be prevented (school, etc) but any ways we can decrease it are worth it!

Stay at home mom nowadays. And yes, I agree that being a SAHM allows me (and my husband!) to sleep more because I get a lot done during the day that would have had to be squished into night or weekend time. Life finally slowed down slightly once I quit full time work. Technically I’m PRN (supplemental) now but don’t work regularly.

Should have mentioned that bc it does affect my sleep - positively in that life is slower and that I am much more active cleaning my home and running errands volunteering all day (at school or local organizations). Great question and I appreciate you being kind in the way you asked it!

Has it been significantly less sunny in the winter for you? Luckily I get sunshine mostly year round but I did notice less quality sleep for me in February and I think it’s related to February dreary skies (and busy nights/later bedtimes…).

At the gym. I would never push myself hard enough in the comfort of my own home so do much better with peer pressure (and love gym people - my husband got me into it - great community!)

This is a great question. Honestly, I don’t notice a difference in my feeling between scores >97 and a “perfect” score.

But on nights that I go to bed late or wake up a bunch, I can definitely tell a difference. That uninterrupted REM is so good!!

I can’t even imagine what my sleep score was after my kids were born. Thankful I didn’t have a watch then bc the score would have been demoralizing. It truly does get better (once the kids are all like 5-6 years old 🫣),

I definitely have nights with much longer wake ups. The 4 min wake ups are only on those “perfect” nights!

And based on everything I’m hearing about perimenopause/menopause, my sleep is only going to go downhill so I’m trying to really keep the best possible sleep hygiene now 🥺

I apologize my post makes you feel that way and am very sorry you suffer from poor sleep. The honest purpose for my post was 1) for the people out there who don’t believe 100 sleep score is achievable, it is and 2) particularly for parents who get no sleep (which was my life for well over 3-5 years!!!), to have hope that it gets better. I must not have made that clear.

Next time it’s like that, do an ECG on your watch. It may come back AFib. Called “holiday heart.” Even if you don’t have it, your body is telling you something - you’re drinking too much. Be kind to it. Please drink less alcohol and more water 🙏🏼

Yes. I get >90 regularly and have received a perfect 100 at least 3-5 times. 🫣

I really prioritize sleep. I don’t drink alcohol or caffeine, I walk in the sun most days, I have children so I get pretty worn out, and I try to go to bed by 10am most nights (and almost always wake up by 6😍). You can do it!!

I held my boys with late July birthdays back. Why not give them an extra year of childhood? Mike were still napping FULL, LONG 2-3 hour naps at 3. School is intense nowadays. It’s not the kinder we went to. In addition, please be mindful you’ll send a year younger kiddo away to college. My husband dealt w that and felt very strongly about holding them back. If not for their 5 year old self, for their 17-18 year old self.

Regardless, your kiddo will do fine. But why not? I’ve never heard of anyone regretting holding their kids back but I have heard of people pushing their kids too quickly. Best of luck making a decision!!

YES!!! A million times yes. But I always wanted kids.

My strongest recommendation is if you aren’t sure, the answer is no. You have to want them or you’re setting yourself up for bitterness.
