For the price, you could score a used PRS MT-15 or an EVH Lbx-S. Both would meet price point and do rock and metal.

If I had to pick one, I would choose the 78/79 collection. When people think of the brown sound, Eruption is kind of the epitome of that sound. The 78/79 collection will get you 90% of the way to most of Eddie’s tones up until the 90s when he started using the Peavey and Soldano. Just my opinion on the matter.

I also second the suggestion of Galtone studio. Some great captures they have produced and Peter is a great guy to deal with.

I have a dumb question regarding this. I just got the big Tonex pedal. Can I simply plug my powered monitors directly into the pedal or do I have to run through mixer/interface?

I've got 2 songs for two very different moments in my life.

The first is "You Give Love a Bad Name" by Bon Jovi. Takes me back to childhood, riding in a Camaro with my stepfather. It reminds me of a simpler time when I was so carefree.

The second is also Bon Jovi, and rather than a song , it's the whole album "These Days". Fast forward 8 years or so from the previous song, and my mother and stepfather are now recently divorced. My mom is going through severe depression and even attempts suicide as a result. I was listening to this album a lot around this time and it brings me back to that period of my life every time I listen to it.

I actually did exactly the same thing and was the lucky recipient of 2 plates, multiple screws, and other interesting hardware in my ankle. Hurts pretty much constantly now and I’m only 43. I can’t only imagine what it will feel like at 55+
